I've found out that Master DE's don't require a ton of resources as other Crafter professions.

Currently I am still in the grinding stage so doing nothing but mining Steel and Fiberplast. After this is done I would still like to run some harvesters but not sure of the setup that would be good.

What is your current 10 lot configuration?

Also what is the benifit from using larger harvesters? Is there a website that has the ratio how much it costs a day to how much it pulls out?

I quit harvesting and quit grinding for now, but before it was

2 - 1 house

1 - 1item factory(would redeed, and put up a personal harvester if I didnt need it operating)

4 - 4 medium steel harvesters(normally 3 and 1 windmill, but found a good rare:ish steel)

1 - 1 deep crust fiberblast harvester

1 - 1 silistic ore harvester

1 - 1 solar generator

* - if extrusive ore spot was found, id replace a steel harvester with it, but these seemed rare on naboo

other materials you'll need that can be easily bought at bazzar - Gas, Alum, Copper

note: I often had to buy extra power after replacing the windmill with another med steel harvester

DEs grind advanced frames for best exp, so you may aswellharvest nothing but steel.

A medium harvester collects twice as much as a small harvester, but requires exactly twice the power and twice the maintenance. So basically its two harvesters in one. The only advantage is that it only takes up 1 lot.

Large harvester collects four times as much as a small, for almost (but not quite) four times as much power and maintanence, so they are a little more efficient. Those only use 1 lot aswell.

Since you only have 10 lots available to you, you can harvest more with the larger harvesters, but you need a good source of income to maintain them. I only have one large harvester and don't use it unless I can put plenty of spare cash in the maintenance pool. It is worth too much to risk letting it decay.

You may want to keep one lot free. You never know when some awesome quality copper or extrusive ore will spawn on your planet and its worth dropping a harvester or two and stockpiling some, even though you wont use it yet.

4 - Large generic house (couldn't help it it just looks so cool)

2 - 2 small chemical haresters for fiberplast (will swthc these to steel when i have an adequate supply of fiberplast)

1 - Solar Generator

1 - Equipment factory

3 unaccounted for now that i think about it....**edit** i'll have to find out where those are

Similar.

2 = 1 med house

4 = 4 mineral extractors (almost exclusively for steel since it covers 'metal' and 'ferrous' stuff too)

2 = 2 solar gens - often have only one depending on resources

1 = med chem extractor, for fiberplast - or any kind of chem that's useful, eg Polymer

1 = equipment factory - essential when you start churning out your hard-earned droids

It was different before I hit master, and will change depending what's available (had 2 equip factories up at one point). Took a long time to get up to the heavy harvs. When grinding before I got the heavies I had no house with 5 Personal Mineral, and 3 Personal Chemicals going. I'd add another mineral or chem to one group or the other depending on the concentration to keep the ratio of steel to fiberplast about right.

2 - Small Generic House
1 - Equipment Factory
1 - Fusion-Ion Generator
2 - Deep Crust Chemical (Fiberplast, Polymer)
3 - Heavy Mineral Extractor (2 Steel, one ore)
1 - Personal Gas
