We've gotten acknowledgement that the profession needs work, and we've gotten vague statements implying we haven't been totally swept under the rug, but we're otherwise completely in the dark.

People are becoming depressed not so much because droids are screwed up now, but because despite our best attempts at literally begging for the Devs to provide a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel, pleading for some rationalization for sticking with the profession, we still have no useful information. Many of us have wanted to make droids since the game was announced. Many of us arguably have wanted to make droids since 1977. For many of us, that's the only thing still keeping us in the profession. For a childhood dream to turn out so unrewarding... can you really blame people for being depressed about it?

I'm sticking with DE because I've invested so much in it, and I'm still hoping they find some way to salvage the profession. But I would by no means recommend it to anybody else right now.

I just know, the day they make a droid handler profession, is the day I stop making droids.

Do you want to be broke all the time? then stay and be a DE

wow, ive been to this page a few times now and i am not impressed with the depressive air that is cycling around here. im about to be novice de and im starting to fear advancement instead of crave it. this post is just kinda pointed toward those of you that havent quit and are still holding out hope. my question is "i havent really been keeping up with DE issue and was just wondering what upgrades/changes to the class are comming, when are they comming, and do you guysthink it will make a difference?" ill probably be one anyway, i always like making the unpopular choices and seeing what i can do with it, but im also interested in what you all have to say. after all you have all probably been where im going and done what im about to do.
