I'm sure that somewhere on here is a list that the DEs are presenting to the DEVs of possible new droids. I would like to see a harvesting droid. This would probably only be used by master scouts and master rangers (as non-masters need to do the harvesting in order to get the XP). Once a scout/ranger is no longer in need of scouting xp, though, this droid could run around the battlefield randomly (or manually if set) harvesting hide/bone/meat.

I thought of this quite some time ago, but with the neccesity of harvest orders (so each scout/ranger gets a turn) it was not really feasible. Now that EVERY scout/ranger can harvest, though, it would be a great help.

It would be even better if this droid had an inventory module and stored the gathered hide/bone/meat instead of giving to the scout/ranger to hold on to.

Just a thought -- something that I know I would purchase.

Don't worry about a rant -- I completel understand. While I never had any interest in being a DE (or any artisan profession), droids were my NUMBER 1 reason for choosing SWG over another MMORPG.

Its the one thing that the other games don't have and it seems that, although there is a lot of potential, the field is ridiculously lacking.

So, know that at least one non-de out there really supports this profession. I would like to see this one worked on before anything else -- EVEN my professions and the things that affect me directly (mounts/vehicles/player cities/space).

i agree. i would also like to see a crafting droid. i don't have time to craft everything for xp.(though i have to) it gets tiresome and i would like to see this problem rectified.

I apologize for the lack of attention that posts like yours get on this board. The problem is, we all brainstormed new ideas for the first 2 months, but since nothing was done about it we gave up on new ideas and are just sitting around waiting for even the ability to COLOR our droids.

Player mounts are coming, requiring, no doubt, tremendous work by multiple devs and artists to implement, and yet, we can't even get an artist to use the floodfill tool on the Red and Gray R2 droids so we can have some different colors for it!

Whew. Sorry. See, anytime I try to respond turns into a rant.

Thanks for another good idea, Pardal. Come back in 4 months and maybe it will be implemented.
