I am a novice (only) de, so can make an MSE droid with a Med module. I know nothing about docs and how they heal.

What can this most basic of med droids do. I read it allows docs to heal away from hospitals, but just tried that and didn't seem to work. The medical guy was pretty new also.

What does the medical person need to do to use the mouse droid to heal away from a hospital?

What kind of medicines can he use with this basic (level 1) medical module?

Anyone with a Novice Medic skill can use these. Medics and Doctors can use their medicines (woundpacks) outside of the medical center or a camp. They may also use '/tendwound' , '/tenddamage' , and '/firstaid' .

Thanks for the answer, but I think I found another issue that confused us newbies.

Apparently you cannot use the med droid in a building in town. However when you try to do so, you get the extremely helpful (sarcasm) message that you must be in a camp or the medical center.

Any other gotcha's?

I know about the fact that the owner faces a reduction of abilities when he uses meds that do not need the droid if the droid is active.

I think it's just the cantinas where the medical droids are restricted from functioning?

In any case, that was explicitly designed-in so that there'd be a reason to leave the cantina.
