My wife wanted to play with one of her friends on another server. After making her character she ran around doing delivery missions till she had 25k. Then she went shopping for a probot. She could not believe that there was very little information on the vendors about there probots. Also a mojority all had 810 ham (is it that hard to experiment and gain an extra point of ham?). Most of the probots never even listed the armour they had. Regular probots with armour 3 get light armour 40% and armour 4 at 40% is listed as meduim. She went to about 8 different vendors and didn't buy a single probot (prices ranged from 5k to 25k) cause she couldn't tell what armour they had on them. Finally she found an advance probot with storage repair (that was all that was in the discription) so she bought it. This is what it had ....... armour 25% (meaning only one lvl 3 armour plate or two lesser) and ham only 820 storage capacity of 2. **edit**? two? Needless to say she still looking for a decent probot.

My point is instead of pissing customers off or even losing protential customers you might consider adding a little more discription to your listings on your vendors. Would you buy a probot listed strictly as "probot 20k"? I wouldn't. I want to know the armour level at minamum.

That's quite simply because when you have the deed, that information is not available. Pretty annoying really. The only thing available on the deed information is the medical rating and nothing else. Knowing what crafting station is fitted, storage amounts etc would all be useful. And, the question is why would she be looking for a probot on the bazaar? There's two different types, so that would explain the different pricings, but you'll want to have something fitted to them like med modules, crafting stations, different storage types. If you're going to pay that amount for something, you should be asking for a custom made item. Just get her to use the search function to locate the local friendly DE.

she wasn't on the bizaar the vendor list came from the crt-v over lay map under vendor droids. She did a search most the ones that were on couldn't do armour above 1. The point is that the DE when putting the item on his/her vendor she take the little extra time to list whats on their droids deed they wish to sell. I do that with mine and raely get questions when people purchase the items off my vendor on Flurry.

A typical probot on my vendor would be named:

Deed for Probot droid: 110% Medical, Med. Armor 40% resists, Food/Chem Craft...plus anything else I can include and cram in there.

I think that the buyer doesn't care whether or not it's an advanced model, so I remove that, and Medical 4 doesn't tell them much either. Why would they know how good a level 4 medical module is?

I just try to be as absolutely descriptive as possible in that limited space. On some occasions I do utilize the description field, but not very often and only to emphasize or further describe the information covered in the item name.

I think it's ridiculous that you don't get all that information from simply viewing the details of the deed, though.

I add it into the deed, i.e R3 Advanced model F&C repair M6 S6 D6 2A4

that means it's a R3ADV with food and chen, repair module, medical 6, storage 6, data 6 and 2 Armor 4. WDG is weapon droid general, Structural is you know what. etc.

That's what I do too, crafting stations: WDG, F/C, C&A, S/F

For some of us, yes. A lot of us DE's haven't bothered with the droid refinement column yet because droid experimentation is broken. The most a master artisan can get from experimentation issomething like anextra 6 HAM, which is not worth the risk of a critical failure during experimentation.

Um, I thought that even if you experimented and got the extra 1 point of HAM, although it SAYS 811 on the deed, it still only comes out as 810.

I think I read that on here somewhere in fact.

Well I have a 819 HAM probot, when I call it, it is plain 810 unfortunately...

Alot of people just get to lazy to do descriptions. I keep a list of installed modules are armor myself on anything i put in my vendor. Usually when people are looking for a advanced probot they ask for it special order so that they can get the exact droid modules they want.

I always put abbreviations of the modules in the name, and on the item description, I list every module installed. Something like this:

Probot, Adv, Repair, Med 4, Armor 4x2
Description:
Advanced Probot with the following options:
* Droid Repair Module
* Medical Module 4
* Armor 4x2 (Medium armor, 40% resists)

The only problem is, the customer only sees the description when they double click the sale.

I don't do descriptions usually. I don't think people really read this anyways. I put the kind of droid it is into the name of the deed.

For example:

"Deed for probot with light armor and 40% resist all"
I used to just say "...with level x armor" but most people probably don't know what this means.

Other exmaples:
"Deed for R4 with weapons, droids, generic crafting"
"Deed for DZ70, adv. with food/chem crafting and medical cap=65"

What is really needed is official information on what all these things do. Sometimes I spend half my playing time trying to explain to people how droids work.
