When one makes a droid right now, the person does a bit of experimentation, puts metals together, and whalla, new droid. While this is good for the young stages of this game, I believe there are ways to make it a lot more fun without compromising the economy or the artisans, and without necessarily putting in new proffessions, although putting in a few new ones eventually could work. The general idea is that droid production is way to simple and needs more parts to experiment on, such as wiring, filiment, CPU units within the head, different kinds of armor on the droid and that kind of thing. A way to make a -truly- unique droid that makes the engineer in the droid engineer mean something, as well as extending the funof being a Droid engineer well beyond being a master at it. Such as, say someone was a Droid Engineering master. He would know some wiring, some other parts of the droid, but could -still- learn things from his counterparts. Also, and this is important, make the parts in the droid work! Such as a chance if you do something wrong with the electrical unit it will blow up and scar you, albeit a small chance. Of course then in the works would be a whole set of tires, arms, parts, and everything else. And, because the designs for the droids would be player driven, and each wiring system unique unless there was a schematic for a certain kind of droid, it would add real depth to the universe. Then, on high end droids, have parts that only groups of players each can craft. Such as in a group one person handles smelting of the metal, another person does the copper wiring, and yet another is so good at programming that he does the CPU within the robot's head. In this way you are not only adding to the depth of the community, as artisans would need to band together to make really interesting things, but it would take item diversity in the game to entirely new levels, with only a bit of new programming. The game doesn't even really need to be changed, only certain things added to get this done. I'd like feedback from the rest of you on what I think are at least decent ideas to increase the depth of the gameplay without sacrificing anything in terms of proffessions. Gaudior77

Awesome idea that I think could be applied to all crafting professions. Though it require details and a lot of time to implement.
