Thread: There has gotta be a way I can get my exp back!!

I've been grinding and grinding and grinding for probably 2 weeks trying to get through the 48k to get my first level skills. And tonight I finally did it. I decided I wanted blueprints 1 so I am shouting through the city if anyone can teach me, and I have someone who says he'll teach me, so we group, and he teaches me.

I send a tell to my friend telling him I just got the skill and I will be making new droids for him and I, run over to the crafting station in town, and open up my crafting tool and I don't have the schematics for the new droids. And I'm thinking to myself "This is too low level stuff to where I need more than just a generic crafting tool" and I look down my list and I see "Droid Armor Module 2". I open up my skill tree, and sure enough, the guy taught me the wrong skill.

I have surrendered skills before, and gotten the exp back for those skills to be able to train in something else of the same level, so I surrender the skill to try to get the guy to teach me blueprints, and all my exp is gone.

Is there anything I can do whatsoever to get my exp back? I spent all that time and money grinding through MSE droids to get the 48k needed, I can't afford to go through all of that again. Please someone tell me I'm not **edit**ed and that even I can achieve miracles!!!

Sorry to tell you this but to the best of my knowledge the exp is gone. JUst out of curiosity what server you on. If your on my server i wouldnt mind training you when you need training. so you dont run into this problem again.

I am on Radiant server.

I've never had this problem before, but I was just so excited because I am looking forward to getting my way through DE moreso than any other profession, so when I just saw "Intermediate Droid" in the teach window, I just didn't think to pay attention to the rest.

I just have no source of income what so ever, so I cannot afford many harvestors or even a medium harvestor to bring in the resources, nor the money to just buy them all on the bazaar.

I just can't go through this 48K again. I shouldn't have to. I got my exp, the guy taught me the wrong skill, and tho it's my responsibility to review what is being taught... I think that's just a lil' too easy to lose that much exp, especially when droid engineering is so long to get through in the first place. When it comes to something like that, there should be a 2nd chance type of thing going on.

There is no way to get XP back once you surrender a skill. There is good news though. Armor Module 2's are good to grind on. Better than Blueprints 1 in my opinion. Its how I got Master first on my server and second (missed being first by an hour!) in the game over all. Most people go the Mouse route.

Trust me, its not the best way.

Thanks for the info.

I actually just grinded it out a bit, went from nothing to 23k tonight,so I think that was pretty damned productive. That eased my nerves a bit

That and the fact that got myself a Swamp Trooper, I'm not as angry as I was a few hours ago.
