Thread: Dismiss needs to go!
Ok.. this topic has probably already been beaten to death, but dismiss needs to go!
Why would you have that has the first radial selection? If you select "Dismiss" your droid is gone forever! That is a horrible design flaw. If we wnat to destory one flora resource you ask us if we are sure that we want to destory that one flora resource? But the 32K I spent on my droid is gone with one selection off the radial menu for the droid? That is horrible. Please DE Correspondant, bring this up to the Devs. This needs to be changed to at least explain what Dismiss mean after you select it. For example, "Are you sure you want to Dismiss your Droid and loose the 32K you just spent on him for no apparent reason? Come on. ![]()
*starts an Anti-War style chant*
HEY HEY, HO HO, THIS DISMISS OPTION'S GOT TO GO!
i totally agree!
I am so sick of explaining to my customers that they just released their brand new surgical or repair droid. I have had to take countless losses replacing them in order to keep them happy and as return customers. I know I don't have to do this, but I can understand how one could do this on accident thinking it is the store feature. Now that you can no longer store droids by clicking on them it is easy to see where this could be confusing.
There should at least be a confirm release command.. at least with non talking droids you could train the release command to be slfkjsdflajd where you know you wont accidentally release them.
until then i try to warn every custemer that buys one but it is not possible when they are purchased on a vender and i am not online..
anyway good post and i hope others agree, but sadly looks like this will be plummetting to oblivian!
This happened to me the day after last week's big patch. I dismissed my surgical droid -- *poof*, gone. 15,000 credits right down the toilet. Stupid me, I should have anticipated they would put a *COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY DESTROY YOUR 15K DROID* command right where the Store command *used* to be. I guess I was just confused because theynamed it something else.
I'm told by theDroid EngineerI bought it from that players are being reimbursed for this, but my ticket is over a week old. Guess they're too busy reimbursing players for the housing inventory screw-up.
Worse customer service I have not seen.
I just want to know one thing: Who's high school computer progamming class is responsible for developingthatdroid interface? Actually, I think they are teaching the concept of confirmation dialog boxes in grade schools now.
