i used just as the guy said

/ui action toolbarSlot12;
/selectDraftSchematic 113;
/pause 3;
/nextCraftingStage;
/createPrototype Practice noitem;
/createPrototype Practice noitem;
/pause 2;
/ui action toolbarSlot01;

i changed 113 to 170 since that was the number for advanced frame

i just want to be able to crafting on the first 4 slots . I want to figure this out because clicking threw those menu's are annoying

how about actually playing the game :\

Using a crafting macro actually gives me time to do the things I want to do in a game.. Lord knows I spend enough time just running around to check on harvesters, then selling things manually so that I can get the credits and resources I NEED to grind up... Let alone spend that time manually clicking through screens to grind the same object hundreds of times.

Seriously, why even bother with the holier than thou, "actually playing the game" attitude? If the game forces me to do the same action over and over to get to a certain point, I'll be damned if I dont try to make it easier on myself. If you like how you play, good. If they like how they play, good. Everyone's happy. I'm not a masochistic gamer, so I think I'll continue to use a macro to grind. hehe =)

Didn't work for me, either. Where does this pull the resources from? Your main inventory? And, does the resources you are using have to be the first items in inventory? I'd appreciate any help.

Whats funny is looking at the original intent of this particualar macro. It seems that the idea was that the macro repeats all of the steps EXCEPT for the rapid double clicking of the resources. So you would still play while this macro is runnning just madly clicking the resources while the macro called toolkits and moved through the crafting stages. However it apears at the moment that the /nextCraftingStage command is for the moment not working. At least for Schematics that have an optional component like the MSE Droid or perhaps it has been disabled from working all together.

If an in game macro helps get through something tedious I am all for it. However I have to wonder if there where more people, diversity, and generally market in this game if the original intent was that while you worked up the skill tree you would craft and have a market for all of the items available. IE a lower level DE would craft storage, and MSE's, and Armor modules, and supply them to DE higher up the tree, etc. Kinda like an enterprise or perhaps apprentice like environment.

What would be interesting is not how many MSE Droids someone would have to craft to level up, but instead if you where crafting all of the DE schematics available, per say 1 of each, how many times would you have to repeat the full set to level up and open up new schematics. The idea here is perhaps to learn about all of the schematics and how best to craft each getting skilled at finding how best to make each most effective through resource changes, experimentation, etc. The three big hinderances I see to this possible original Idea are that there isn't an acutal Lower DE working for Higher DE model or even a real market from a subcomponent perspective. At least not one to really see growth in. Second and perhaps more importantly quality and effectivness of subcomponents etc doesn't seem to effect final products in enough cases, if at all. The game seems a little incomplete in this area. And finally third is the simple fact that the size (as in number of players), and diversified utility (reasons to need lower level droids) is two limited. This has the effect of intensifying the desire to grind through lower level stuff that is apparently useless with the only goal to be able to get to the highest level items that might have a market.

Possible solutions
A) Let grinders grind
B) Continue to add content and utility to all levels of tree not just adding combat droids but also making subcomponents more effective of final outcome, and adding more useful functionality to lower level droids.
C) Its not enough to have a staticly sized (Head Count and space) universe when it won't sustain growth. There also needs to be a growth plan so that server hardware, bandwith, and all of the other pieces of MMORPG has a percieved noticable growth as well not just headcount turnover but actually increasing headcount till we get to a sustainable model. It is probably however a pipe dream that any game company can keep up with the needed increases while fighting to stabalize the environment, technology, and code.

Looking back five years or more lots of lessons have been learned and it is a preverbial tip of the iceberg, however you have to start somewhere.

Making a mouse droid gives you 147 XP. I need 48000 XP to go from Novice DE to get Int. Blueprints...that's a smidge over 350 Mouse droids. The way that you describe crafting is the way it started out in beta. I did mostly medical stuff then and thought it was an excellent idea that the lower level crafters made stuff the higher levels needed for their recipes. So many people complained that it was changed. And I don't mind being there while crafting, either. My intent for having this macro be automatic was to press the button and make 10 droids while I answered emails, etc.

I appreciate whoever made the macro - it at least takes a bunch of clicks out of the picture.

Let me allow to clear one thing up: these grinding macros don´t let you grind xp while your afk ! You still have to double-click the ressources into the schematic !!!
Otherwise this way to level up would be extremely lame, wouldn´t it ? I mean, you´re still playing the game, right ? ;-)

The first thing I see in that first posting is that you don´t have a blank between "no" and "item" and there´s only one "nextCraftingStage". So that maybe part of the problem.
I`ll copy and paste my grinding macro post here, maybe it helps:

Ok, here´s what I´m doing to grind with advanced droid frame units:

First of all store your crafting station droid and go to options and remove the check on "Confirm crafting actions" or whatever its called.

After that, use trial&error to find out the draft schematics number for the advanced droid frame unit by opening your crafting tool and typing /selectDraftSchematic ## (## stands for a number here) until you got the right number. Don´t forget to use the up key or whatever works for you to repeat the last command, so you only have to change the number and not type in the whole command again.

Then put 5 Weapon/Droid/General Crafting Tools in the first slots in the lower quickbar (slots are numbered 0-11 in top row, 12-23 in the lower row, so I put them in slots 12-16).

I have three macros:

The first macro sits in slot 17. Its only function is to start the crafting macro.

/ui action toolbarSlot18;

>>>> You have to use the exact syntax,no blank between toolbarSlot and the Slotnumber.

The second macro is the crafting macro and sits in slot18:

/ui action toolbarSlot12;
/selectDraftSchematic 114; -----note the blank before the number; use your own number
/pause 5;
/nextCraftingStage;
/nextCraftingStage;
/createPrototype practice no item;
/createPrototype practice no item;
/pause 2;
/ui action toolbarSlot13;
/selectDraftSchematic 114;
/pause 5;
/nextCraftingStage;
/nextCraftingStage;
/createPrototype practice no item;
/createPrototype practice no item;
/pause 2;
/ui action toolbarSlot14;
/selectDraftSchematic 114;
/pause 5;
/nextCraftingStage;
/nextCraftingStage;
/createPrototype practice no item;
/createPrototype practice no item;
/pause 2;
/ui action toolbarSlot15;
/selectDraftSchematic 114;
/pause 5;
/nextCraftingStage;
/nextCraftingStage;
/createPrototype practice no item;
/createPrototype practice no item;
/pause 2;
/ui action toolbarSlot16;
/selectDraftSchematic 114;
/pause 5;
/nextCraftingStage;
/nextCraftingStage;
/createPrototype practice no item;
/createPrototype practice no item;
/pause 2;
/ui action toolbarSlot17; ----- this calls the starting macro, which then calls the whole crafting macro again; this is imho necessary, because a macro can´t call itself

So now all you have to do is click on the startmacro and doubleclick the ressources into the schematics every few seconds. If you experience lag or its too fast for you simply increase the pauses.
This timing works perfect for me but may not do it for you. Just try it.

The last macro is simply to stop the whole thing again:

/dump

Thats all you need.

Of course you could go the usual way and make 6 or so macros as stated in the various macro threads, but this worked pretty well for me.

i grinded through to master blue prints i and all that clicking was very boring i have more fun getting resources than all that grinding

Just an addition:with that macro you don´t have time to do anything else than to double-click the ressources every few seconds. That means you don´t have a chance to chat or do anything else. On the flipside, if you have all the steel and fiberplast you need, you can grind to Master in a day.
Still I´d like to encourage you to stop after every other new skill box you got and learn about the things you are able to craft (if you don´t intend to drop the profession afterwards anyway).

Thank you, Zoppo. I don't intend to drop the class, so I will try each new item as it becomes available. I will used your macro the next time I get in game.

On reflection I'm glad this doesn't allow AFK crafting.

I just read on the Artisan forum that there is now a restriction on the crafting tools.

If you choose "Practice" then you won't be allowed to start up a new crafting tool until the first one finishes the practice item! This does not apply to creating prototypes normally. This then would apply with the "createPrototype Practice no item" command.

I would guess this is to discourage grinding up the artisan crafting trees like DE.

Anyone able to confirm this?

I can confirm that this is not the case, I'm crafting with 4 crafting tools atm and also use a macro that has "/createPrototype Practice no item" in it and It still works as it used to.
