Thread: Novice Droid Engineer Looking for Answers...
To All:
I just made Novice DE and was looking for a few pointers.
1) What's the best way to grind Exp? What should I start grinding on and what should I switch to as I advance?
2) What is the most popular things to sell, and how much should I charge?
3) Is there anything cool DE and craft? Any cool bugs to exploit?
Thanks for all you help!![]()

I was thinking of what pointers to give to you, unitl I read this line in the last question. If you want to follow unethical behaviour in a game based on community, then I am sorry to inform you that there is nothing that I can help you with.

I must say I'm in agreement here. People seeking exploits are what cause the rest of us to suffer the consequences.

Wow, sorry about the first post. I meant no offense to anyone. As mentionen, I'm new to the profession looking for helpful ideas. I should have rephrase the question. I'm not looking for a "bug" to exploit, just something cool that makes the Droid Engineer Profession fun and useful. Nothing illegal or broken. So again if anyone is willing to help my first 2 questions it is much appreciated. What is stickies?

The issue of grinding is also covered in numerous threads. As far as I remember the MSE droid is the thing to grind until you hit blueprints 2. From there, the easiest way is grinding advanced droid frame units. They give around 440 xp per item. You`ll need tons of steel and fiberplast. If you have enough money (or a PA that gives you all the ressources
There´s a post from Sintrosi, our departing DE correspondent on macros on the first page, and I posted a macro for grinding advanced droid frame units here:

Its difficult to name prices, because they vary very much from server to server. Do a forum search on the issue to get a feel for it.
Things that are "cool": well, that depends. After you read the sticky posts, you´ll learn that the main things right now are crafting station modules, medical modules and item storage modules (decay free item storage of up to 10 items).
January and February will be the months, when the bugs, that made DE one of the most broken professions of the game may be adressed (if you believe the DEVs
Another "cool" thing might be the chassis. They are parts used in the production of some of the advanced droid models and can be dropped in a house like furniture.
Im a newish DE with 2-0-0-3. a couple of tips i can give from my experience so far are
- go for 0-0-0-3 first by grinding mse's then advanced droid frame's as suggested by one of the previous replys. Grinding sucks , its no fun soonce at this level you can start making some 1/2 decent droids and try to sell them.
- Get yourself a bunch of harvesters mainly mineral with 1 or 2 chemical. You'll need to sell alot of minerals on the bazzaar to keep the money flowing in.
- My bestseller so farhas been thevarious types of droid chassis. I've sold all the different types but main seller is the R2. I like to display them in my house near the vendor so people know what there gonna look like in their house
- Become a master artisan so you can make the electronic components needed in alot of droids.
- Get yourself some regular customers. I recently got in contact with a bounty hunter who is now buying about 50 arakyd probe droids a week off me.Its not a huge amount of money but he's told his BH friends where they can get a good supply of them andsomy sales of them have increased.
- Keep your vendor stocked up. If someone browses your vendor but doesnt buy anything and sees you haveplenty of differentitems, when they are in need of a droid they will hopefully rememberyour full vendorand come back and buy some droids.
Hope any of this helps
