DE's could make a 'Training Droid' Schematic. Available at Blueprints 4, or master DE.

Now, make it experimentable, more efficiency makes it have more varied difficulty settings, and some other features. some natural resistances, more HAM,etc. May as well make it nameable and color customizeable.

This Training Droid is a Skeletal Frame. it only fights unarmed and unarmored. UNLESS you give it weaponry and armor to wear. then it can be programmed for classes of combat style :Commando, BH, Fencer, etc. It will not attack players that do not consent to be attacked, and it will NEVER attack NPCs other than those 'pets' of a consented player.

This is where the fun begins. (DE) makes some of these droids, and asks (Armorsmith) to contribute armor for them, offering free publicity. He also signs on (weaponsmith) for some quality swords and carbines, etc. Now we have a group of united crafters, that can pit their custom droid against other custom droids at player events, for prize money, or for publicity. Can you imgine the publicity at a big event with these?

"My weapons punched through the best droids at DroidFight '04"

These crafters would be making serious cash from customers that actually get to SEE how good their stuff is in action.

This would be pretty easy for the Devs to put in, all they need is a new model for the 'naked' droid, and some A.I. scripting to make it change fighting styles.

And here you have some REAL player content. All these uses are made and catered by players. Get, say... 10 DEs together, with thier armor and weaponsmith sponsors, and have a Droid Tournament, that players could bet on. Hold it on that arena-roof of the local Generic PA hall, or in a Player City Theater.

Droid Versus Player! "10,000cr to the first man, woman or child that can go 5 rounds against my droid! Come one, come all!

Private training droids to practice combat tactics on a dynamic, programmable opponent!

A LOT could be done with this setup.

Chefs can cater,

Tailors make the droid's 'pit team' uniforms.

Artisans can have fireworks shows,

Armor and weaponsmiths make the armor and weponry for the Droids.

DE's of course make them.

Combat classes would be jumping over each other to be the first to break these big toys.

Medics and Docs on hand for healing and buffs

Squad leaders could be assisting the Players with tactical advice.

Entertainers for between round shows.

BE andCHcould even pit their top pets against them!

Maybe a new 'arena' scematic for Architects.

This would be a good place for merchants to sell their goods too.

And we scouts and rangers need some sort of excitement when we come in from a long hunt.

Imagine, coming into your favorite cantina to see a live droid show. or a HUGE PA versus Droids team battle. that would draw a big crowd.
