eek, i am artisan 4-4-4-3, novice DE, a bit of merchant.
How in the world do you guys do DE, so much xp so little resources so little money
how do the only crafting people make the money to apy for the mineral thingys to get the resources to level in dE lol

I've seen it done one of two ways. The way I did it was took the long road, building droids only as I sold them (therefore making money off them as opposed to grinding). This will take you a couple months, but you will always have cash and will learn a lot more about the DE profession.
The other method is running missions to support grinding. If you don't have combat skills then take some of the survey missions or delivery missions, those can get you enough cash to pay for harvesters (though it feels much more like work).

it took me 4 months to make it to master DE, I joined a small but friendly Pa early on. I also had some basic combat skills rifle line in marksman and some novice rifleman. i would log on collect my resources from my harvesters then plan to meet my pa mates at a planet we would hunt. usually Dant. while waiting the 10 minutes for a shuttle hops i would grind the resources i had, then once on Dant i would group with my friends and do high lvl money missions. I found this to be a more enjoyable method for me than just straight grinding. i was having fun while at the same time making money to support my harvesters. (I also had novice scout so i could harvest meat, hides, and bones that i could sell for a nice profit to BE's and Chefs). I kept my novice de flag on and kept myself searchable and from time to time i had someone search me out for a droid, wich i would happily make for them. All my current customers are from word of mouth. I don't go around shouting droids for sale or any such method. My pa has a small tent in our city that i keep some basic models on that sell from time to time. The important part of all this is i have never been bored being a de. It may have taken me 4 months to get there. But what a blast it has been.
