Droid Engineer Archive

Im currently A zabrak on Bloodfin, and Im going for smuggler ( I will be novice smuggler god willing by friday night!)But I was also looking at the droid engineer class ( the first "big" item i bought in game was a droid, not a gun, but a r3 unit ( aleit he had only storage module..) After more and more research I think I'd like to become a droid engineer BUT im wondering if my race is even suited for it? I orginally chose Zabrak simply because a friend told me they were the best for BH ( my first goal- that i never acheived).

Basically what Im asking is will my race hinder me in any way? What are the advntages of being a mon calimari then ( I see half of you are atleast) And im curious what other races are DE besides calimari - so speak up!

Probably the best bet, race wise, for a DE is Human as they get an experimentation bonus (usefull in any crafting profession). Mon Calamari get bonuses specficly in Architecture and Weapon assembly so nothing directly helps the DE profession there (only slightly if you're going to craft your own power core units for your Power Droid -GONK-, but who knows what the future will bring?). I chose Mon Calamari as I was sick of playing a human in Asherons Call

Ooops slightly talking out of my arse there (mmm do Mon Calamari's have arses? :robotvery-happy, the experimentation bonus for Humans only applies to Artisan stuff, however that's still very useful for DE's as we are the most reliant on Master Artisan products...

I´m Zabrak, don´t see any disadvantages.

Rodian here, no disadvantages that I can see...granted I can't migrate my mind to Uber levels, but the effect is minimal. Plus, I think we look the coolest

for a crafter any race is fine i think, as long as you have the right stats to macro sample all day, you are fine.
