grats welcome to our pain... err world

I can remember the excitement of building my first MSE, then having it toot, beep, and whirr while I continued in practice mode. I also remember making my first (and only) DZ70. Tested it out on a Corellian Butterfly and watched it go down in two hits LOL, Okay, back to the grind then. Personally, I stopped grinding at 3/2/0/4. I figured at this point (only recently achieved) I can finally make droids people want. It is a much needed rest from all that grinding.

I got my Novice DE the night of the vehicle patch and just got a chance last night to make some droids. Yes, we all know they were MSE droids, but I took joy in it nonetheless. I ground out tons of MSE droids, rotating three crafting tools and not experimenting, I was going for about one solid hour total and got tons of XP (not sure how much, but WELL over half) before I had to log for the night.I got so quick at it, without a macro I was making a practice MSE in less than 14 seconds. Yup, that's 14 seconds with clicking and cursor re-positioning to hit all the buttons. I plan on doing it again tonight until I get Blueprints1 and then making some Treadwells (I just think they look cool) and DZ70's.

I like this profession so far and plan on sticking with it. I don't mind the grind right now and I feel it will be worth it when I start making saleable droids. As it stands now, I'm going to be giving away an MSE with every vehicle I sell as an extra little gift.

I made Blueprints 1 last night, leisurely grinding and rammin around the planets. I made my first R5 andDZ70 and learned that it really takes a while to make a droid. Very different from making MSE's all the time. I like it though!

/bump for excitement playing a DE!!!

Dang right it takes a while to make droids. I was given a lovely proposal recently (a bit paraphrased):

Him: "Make me 15 furnature droids and put them on my vendor"

Me: "OK, any specific styles or colors?"

Him: "I don't really care"

Me: "Alright, I'll give you the variety pack then"

Him: "Cool, here's my waypoint" - He mails me a waypoint called "The Junkyard"

Me: "Hmm...not sure how I feel sending my droids to the junkyard..."

Him: "LOL!!! Don't worry about it, it's just themed kinda like Wotto's shop, a bunch of 'resale' type items"

Me: "heh, ok then...I'll get right on it. Should be about 30 min or so"

...Well, I get to it, with a little bit of talking to friends and such. I must have been slacking or something, because I didn't get to finish until the next day. I think it took me 3 total hours to make all 15 droid chassis.

Eh, I guess I'm easily distracted.
