It has been an up hill battle but I truly feel we are getting the attention we have deserved for so long. It will still be uphill for a bit but the crest of the hill is in site. With that ... I am going to resign as correspondent. I will still be here during the transition for the next few weeks though so you guys are not left high and dry.

Why? Well I mentioned sometime back that I am going back to school. Well, that has been delayed by a term but I think its time for me to move on -- not just from this position but from SWG in general. I will come back in the future but probably not for a year or so down the road -- not until space expansion. See it took me along time to put my finger on it .. but this isnt star wars. Star Wars is Droids in Space in my opinion -- star fighters .. dog fights .. etc.. I, like many of you, do not feel this game was released at the right time. It extends way past Droids and I just dont have enough freetime to play a game that is not even fun for me any more. Any game where you can Master just about any profession in less than a week is not for me.

Everquest was perfect for me mechanics wise because it took so long. Gave you a long term goal. Had substance.. etc. I bought Horizons yesterday and it is looking like it will be a challenge to level and have much more content than SWG will for sometime. So I will be spending my gaming time there for awhile. (If any of you pick up Horizons, send me a TELL on the Expanse server and say hi! (Polar, Arturo .. and heck I cant remember my dragons name lol))

I digress though. We all know SWG has its great points else we wouldnt be here right now.

Thunderheart is busting his ass so much I am surprised he hasnt burned out by now. He truly is a champion for us players. He bites off more than he can chew, but I would chalk that up to a new job and wanting to make a difference right away. Things will change and we are on the right track. The DEVs are listening.

To my replacement: You have a hard job ahead of you. Unless you have several hours a day to devote to the message boards, dont even consider taking the job. There will be frustration -- asking a question and not getting a response for a few days .. and sometimes not until you remind or bump your thread. But it is a worthy job. The correspondents get on each others nerves sometimes, but we all work together to improve the game. You will need patience above everything else. And understanding. You will have to understand that you cant change the world tommorow. It is a slow and painful process, and you can bash your head against the wall all you want -- but it will take as long as it takes. You cant push this car any faster. Work with your fellow correspondence. Welcome their input -- give them input as well. The correspondent team is a great team over all and you will be lucky to work with them.

That said -- The work I have done in the last six+ months continues. I will have a say in who my replacemnet is within reason, but as a whole I think you guys need to help decide. My first recomendation is Gorantoth. He has put in as much, if not more work into thisprofession than I have. I do not know if he wants the position, but I think he is a good choice. The second would be Drashk. He has done alot for DEs as well.

If you feel you would make a good correspondent or want to nominate someone, please post here and as a community lets help SOE make a decision. As you all know, we need to trust the correspondent and I thank you immensly for the trust you have shown me since release. SOE has the final say but I think that our opinion matters.

Thank you DEs. You guys rocked and made my job easier. We rose as one voice and continue to do so. Support the Inter server DE meeting. Work as one. Dont bicker and fight, help each other and you will get what you deserve. More importantly, please work with TH and the DEVs. Please give a little understanding when a deadline is missed. They try. And they work harder than any of us to make this a worthy game. Please support your new correspondent(s) as you have supported me. Understand that there will be bumps in the road and they may make mistakes, but they will have your best interest in heart as well.

Star Wars IS droids. SOE knows that. We all know that. And one day SWG will be droids. When that day comes, I will be back.

You are the verybest Sintrosi. You will be missed and we will celebrate when you return. I wish you luck in all that you do and hope to see you poke in and out of the forums from time to time. I'm sure that I speak for most everyone when I say that if you change your mind it would be OK - but then again I would not wish that upon you.

Sorry to see you go Sintrosi. Just as things begin to look up for the profession also...... Well, the hard fought victories we should be receiving soon are, I believe, primarily due to your patience with our underloved profession.

Its been an honor working with you since the beginning Sintrosi. There aren't many of us around from the original crew anymore and its going to really suck to loose you. Hopefully I'll see you around sometime.

I agree with your post in that the likely candidates are Gorantoth, or Drashk for the work they have already done so far. I like how they are so thourough and keep up to date. They have my vote to fill your shoes. Or pumps.
