Thread: New bug in the last couple days Droid renaming

A long time SWG friend bought some droids the other night. The first one he bought, an ADV R3, poofed when he TAMED it. it said he couldnt handle it (or some such message) and just disappeared from his inventory and datapad. It was the first one on this character so I know he didnt have anything out. The next one was an R2, it tamed like regular but he couldnt name it. I just figured he was seriously bugged.


Well, last night, I tried renaming my droids. They wouldnt work. Nothing would work on the R3 or BLL. I have been a long time Master DE, so I know I am doing it right, they just arent taking.


I get worried when I see new launches for the next two publishes when simple things like this come up. And the droids still stand on our toes.


Anyone else having problems?

CIanion,

I've seen droid naming act strangely when:

- it needs a battery.

- you're inside a structure (like your house/shop)

- the naming filter 'steps' on whatever name you're trying to use.

- the droid is a unit that accepts Personality chips (this isn't for you, just for general information to others).


If you check all this and still have issues, we need to put out the call for a DE-wide test in this issue to see if it's newly borked or not.
