Yes, I did it- I started the surrender of my DE skills.
I just feel that it's time for me to move on. As I have stated many times on this board, I never sell my droids and my only special clients are me, myself, and I, and I've found that they just cant support my growning spice habit
I have become increasingly involved in the galacticwar and PvPing as of late, and what DE is now and from what I've read in the future from TH's post, there really is no reason for me to stay a DE that can help me. Everything I want from DE, I can be a customer and get it rather than having to be a master and making it allmyself.
I have been a Master DE since last September, and I am sad that I have ended up surrendering a profession I love so much. If, sometime in the future, something happens for DE that just makes me say "WOW!" I will come back into your loving embrace, but for now, it's adios, farewell, and goodbye.
Note: I am surrendering my leadership as the De-Facto Leader of the Droid Mafia (We break servos without flinching™)and so you all no longer have to fear the treadwell assassins, and will be dismantling the organization. Since I made it up myself, appointed myself to the leadship positions, and decide everything for it, it wont take long to shut it down.

Sad - two in one day.
BTW, there is help for the spice - but it involves getting fat...

Indeeed.....
I'm sorry to see so many veterans that I know close up shop. Here's hoping that we see that start to turn around soon.
ETG: Thanks for being a big part of the DEA and the DE boards, albeit a strange part.
You'll be missed, good sir. Godspeed to you.

Sorry to see you go...I guess those of us who have been lurking will have to step up to the plate and take over! lol
I was about to try another profession (not surrender DE, just supplement), but then I sold 100k in droids yesterday and I'm on a new high!
Speaking of which, I would like to suggest to the DE community that instead of making "do-it-all" droids for our vendors, we make specialized droids. A droid that serves 1 or 2 purposes instead of all. This will keep demand up and sales up, I believe. Special orders are something else, but for general vending, I've listedR2s that are med+food crafting only. Then I've got straight Item storage + (crafting station). Has this been something that you've moved to? If so, what's your take?

My take is that we have eight modules right now:
- food/chem
- w/d/g
- structural
- clothing
- medical
- droid repair
- item storage
- data storage
So, an advanced R3 can hold 6 of these at a time. Herein lies the problem - if we had a lot more different modules, we wouldn't have do-it-all droids - they would not be possible.
The new utility modules listed in TH's post are a nice start - but they really do need to get past the "no more checkers" argument, and open up to the wealth of ideas for more modules that have been proposed.

mmmm... Talk to Kreetlejuice. He apparently has some nice recipes for Trandoshan Spice Jawa that is quite a delicacy. And, he obviously can't be wrong - just look at the size of him!

Sorry to see you go, EricTheGreat. Hopefully you'll still grace us and disgrace us with your wacky humor and whitey-tighties.
