Can someone explain something to me?

You only need the Engineering Tree of Artisan for DE, however in order to crate components that are REQUIRED for many many droids you also have to be a Master Artisan? WHY?

I know that there are certain items that you can craft in other professions where you need another profession to craft the specific component (i.e. when Doctors create Flame Supression Blankets they need Synthetic Cloth from a Tailor, and that make sense), but why are REQUIRED engineering components ONLY AVAILABLE under Master Artisan when they are REQUIRED to make droids? In that case, shouldn't Master Artisan be a requirement for becoming a Droid Engineer? I mean it makes sense for the Doctor example, but WHY is this so for DEs? That makes no sense at all to me...

I think it's to foster interdependence amongst the various crafting professions or force you to be a better, more complete, crafter. It's not a big deal really. As an MA I make a decent amount of money selling crates of GP modules, memory modules, etc... to other crafters. If you don't want to expend the skill points, just make friends with an MA and buy a bulk load of the MA parts you need. 500 memory modules and 500 GP modules @ 100 credits per unit will hold you for a while.

I am a Master Artisan and I really don't know the answer to this question. Does any other Elite Crafting profession require items from the lower Artisan brach that they don't receive on their climb?

I know architect needs master artisan components to make crafting stations.

I looked up the components on <A HREF swgcraft.com> swgcraft.com</A>

To make one of everything that we can we need more EMMs (28) than any thing else third is the EGPs (24).Thisprobally might be before the last publish. And does not includeany of Optional Components.

The next closest is Architect they need 13 EGPs and that is 6th on there list.

So therefore no. No other Eltite Artisan needs as many Master Artisan parts as we do.
