Thread: So...where's the droid commander?

Whatever happened to the Droid Commander miniprofession? I haven't been keeping up on the msg boards so I could just be missing it. I haven't seen anything in game for it, I haven't seen anything in the publish 7 notes, and I haven't seen anything in the publish 8 notes. I am a master droid engineer and also a master artisan. So far, being mainly a crafter I haven't been able to fully experience a lot of combat aspects of the game. Plus I find it extremely hard to do even the simplest theme park missions. Now, this might mean that I am just completely bad at combat, and I can accept that. However, I would really like the droid comander mini-profession to come around so I can truly experience a Star Wars aspect with droids. I'm not looking for a DE specific droid, I'm not looking to be a completely uber fighter, I just want to be able to be effective at least in combat and I would actually like to use more than just a droid as a crafting station.

Droid Commander was shot down by all the DE's here. We mostly felt like it would be a cheap rip off of Creature Handler. We asked for something more unique. I have a feeling, however that they will slip some type of Droid Handler profession on us anyway.
But, to answer your question...I would bet the Droid Commander is hanging out with the DEVs over at the SOE programming office drinking coffee, eating donuts and watching the NBA Finals on the super projector in their conference room.
