Anyone knwo why i cant use an advanced droid brain when building droids? i can aonly use regular droid brains.

If I'm not mistaken, only Surgical, R2 and R3 (2 identical) droids can take/require ADV droid brains.

You can't use Adv droid brains unless the deed / chassis schematic calls for them. Most droids (and several subcomponants) call for plain old droid brains.

Probably for the same reason that you can put a better carbuerator in your VW Beetle but you can't put a V8.

Of course personally I wouldn't see anything wrong with allowing a player to put an advanced brain into a droid with the possible exceptions of an MSE or a DZ70. You simply wind up with a droid with a much bigger brain than it needs, but maybe we aren't smart enough to make a larger space for the brain than what our plans call for, or something.

of course this points to consistency.. this is a probably a new DE who looks at the the repair kits and wonders why the advanced component works in the repair kit but the same doesnt hold for the other chassis.

I remember doing medic and doctorand wondering where these 'advanced' components went since all the schematics used the regular components.
