Thread: Shouldn't the Binary Load Lifter have the highest HAM?

When I look at all the droids I think that if any of them could take a lot of damage I think it would be a binary load lifter, for example a little R2 or a LE Repair droid do not look like they could take much damage a couple of blaster shots maybe, but a Binary Load Lifter looks like it could take some missle hits or quite a bit of blaster fire.
I also think when I look at it thata binary load liftercould be retro-fitted with weapons, remove its fork lift type arms and replace them with arms with weapons, does anyone else think this?
I also think that some items should have weights and that you should need a binary load lifter to move them.
(Sorry if this post don't make sence I just woke up)

but maybe there should be another profession which can handle the mechs: Mech-Commander

While I will be the first guy to throw the "continuity" flag in SOE's face, I would think quite the opposite about the BLL. The BLL is designed for tough, heavy lifting, true. But it is also ment for atmospheric work where maintenace facilities are close at hand. It does not have to be robust. The R Units, on the other hand, have to be able to survive the rigors of vacuum. The also have to be reliable over extended periods away from maintenance facilites. As for the LE? Who knows... pretty soon the MSE is going to top them all in terms of damage. Can't quite fit that one into and Star Wars context.
