Droid Engineer Archive

I know there is history behind the idea that a bipedal droid is slow (in the movies 3-PO is always lagging behind everybody), but please, for gameplay purposes the insanely slow speed of the LE droid is ridiculous. Even our fastest droid is already slower than most creature pets, and making the LE even slower than that is just too much to bear. It's a melee combat droid for crying out loud! A melee combat tool that is very slow moving is an oxymoron. It makes no sense. In game, combat is often over before the droid has even closed the distance to the target area. It is exceedingly frustrating.

The only reason I ask for this as a hot-fix is because it should be a fairly easy make a change like this. I could be wrong of course, but can we please test the waters and find out.

On the issue of speed in general, my personal opinion is that all the droids should be sped up slightly to the point where the "flying" droidsare almost as fast as a land speeder, but that's another issue.
