I was thinking about droid decay.. Well that system was taken out but in its place what do you think about Droids having
You have retrieved Probot.. Your probot now has 685 uses left before it is worn out.
-Remove the need for batteries..Droids had power cells not Energizers.. I mean come on..

I was thinking about droid decay as well. As it stands now the only thing that decay on them is the paint you slap on them, while the bot itself keeps going and going as long as there is power.
I like your idea about having it decay when pulled.
I wouldn't go so far as to have the batteries removed all together but maybe tweak them a bit so they are useable in powerdroids. And their limit is extended as a viable powersource. But then again for that to have any effect we would need to be able to call more then one droid at a time.

IMHO, one of the best (completely ignoring any technical aspects) way to do is to have it count battery charges, i.e. you can only charge your droid X times before the thing dies. With auto-store bugs, the fact that they still can't trail after speeders, placing decay on number of calls, though it is probably easy, isn't a workable suggestion.
'course, droids could be given a time-based decay aswell, similar to what speeders suffer. That would work too.

I like your idea as well.. Counting batt charges would work as well.
