Thread: DE vs BE
Thanks

The grind is painful (read: carpal tunnel) if you choose to go that route. If you're intent on grinding and not keeping DE, you just need craploads of steel and fiberplast in roughly a 2:1 ratio (steel:fiberplast). Make MSE's until Adv. Blueprints, and grind Adv. Droid Frames the rest of the way.
If you're thinking about sticking with the profession, take time away from the grind and learn what the different droids/modules do. Too many people get to master, only to ask simple questions here, because they didn't take that time to learn the ins and outs. And start by reading the sticky posts at the top of the forums, the FAQ and Gorantoth's wonderful post about current (and lingering) issues.
This profession is probably the second-most broken in the game (think Chef has the upper hand here), but you're probably at least familiar with that being a BE. Good luck with whatever ya decide to do. ![]()
The grind with DE takes a long time. I'm not really a power gamer so it took me about a month to get to master artisan and then another month to get 2-3-2-4 on DE.
You do need steel and fiberplast in mass quantities to grind out those advanced droid frame units that you'll never ever ever ever use. But if that's what you want to do on your path to unlocking the FS then go for it. I suggest checking out: http://www.jveedroids.comso that you know about any bugs or issues with droids before you decide to sell one of your creations.
