On all of you DEs out there How well do your BH droids tend to sell and what is the general price that you are selling them for?

I've been adjusting my prices for them.

Currently I'm at 2500 / Arakyd and 1600 / Seeker sold individually. In crates of five, I now put up Arakyds at 11,000 and Seekers at 6500.

They have historically sold well for me, but I just raised my prices on the seekers by a fair amount, so I'm waiting to see the results.

Also, I get bulk orders from time to time of anywhere from 50 to 200 of these droids. Since it is a pre-sold factory run, I give a 10% discount beyond the crate price.

I have a BH in my guild I make them for. I have yet to sall ANY Arakyds or Seekers to the general public. I asked 1500 for a 5-use arakyd and 1000 for a 10-user seeker. Five cycles of the bazaar, never sold either. This is on bria in Coronet.

(on Corbantis) I was selling them at 800/probe and 500/seeker 3 months ago and they sold pretty well. Right before I took my break from the game, I had upped them to 1K / 800 in order to maintain my stock a little longer (maybe they sold so well because a lot ofcasual playerswere just hitting BH at that time) This was before the charges and I was (and still am for the most part) a junior DE, so quality was abysmal. Don't know how much this helps you, but them's the facts

Ouch!!! I'm on FarStar, and we've become pretty close as a DE community. There have been no pricewars thankfully. I move a fairly steady supply of both droids at 1500 for seekers and 5000 for Arakyd probes. I also crate them for the same price.

I begun selling Seekers at 1200 each one (I sell them individually). Now I sell them at 1500 and I usually sell a couple of them everyday.

Hi guys.. a BH here...

Selling seekers in crates smaller than 5 is useless for us... (infact I normally buy 2-3 crates of 10 at a time)...

Prob droids aren't quite as bad, but I would say selling them in 'one at a time' manner is silly for us... the missions take almost an hour to run each, and I don't want to find my local DE every fifth mission...

I have been buying Seekers at 1k per.. and Probes as 2k per.... I expect at least a 10% discount on crates of 5, and perhaps a little more on a crate of 10...

The thing is once a BH finds his DE, he will not want to 'shop around' but recently I found a DE that was selling the droids for 1k and 800 per.. with no discount on crates...

I haven't changed, but have talked to this DE, and he says he still makes about 2x the build price PER droid at that rate (meaning at 2k and 1k you are ripping us off.. but hey you make them and sell them for what you can get)...

OH and just so you know quality doens't mean ANYTHING on these droids... so if you are useing 'good materials' you are being silly... use lessor materials.. and pass the discount on... you will be rich in no time.. (even at 800/1k)...

Blue77,

Like all crafters, I have a certain production capacity.

When I find that my weeks' worth of Arakyd probes sells out overnight, I either raise my prices, or accept that my vendors will be empty until I can get the factory going again.

It is a simple economic matter: If I charge less, yes, I make a profit on the bounty hunter droids, but it's inefficient business-wise, and I'd be better off dropping the bounty hunter line entirely, and simply producing my more profitable items. I'm sure you don't want us all to come to that conclusion.

blue the probe droid price kinda varys from the extrusive ore avaliability on your server. if your server has a ton of extrusive ore then it will be cheaper and if not, .........mucho credits.

Again you sell things for what you can get for them, however if someone is selling them for less (and with my desire to NOT change) you may lose your customers... and even if you get back on par with the first DE, most won't come back...

The most important thing to take from my post is CRATES... we want/need CRATES... and that the good materials mean nothing to us...

No sweat on the crates bit, Blue. I don't have the time or the desire to produce and sell individual droids! I do break up a crate or two of each though, because some folks DO buy singles.

BH's actually buy singles?

For Invest I-II BH's (which is about 80% of the BH population that is high enough to use the droids) a 10 charge seeker lasts 1 MAYBE 2 missions...

Now the Prob's... they are good for 5 missions if you aren't TOO stupid...

I can't imagine buying a seeker in less than 10 per order.. or probes for less than 5.. even if i'm 'short on cash'...

/boggle some of the tatics used by my brethern...
