ws just wondeing if anyone know if they plan on or have a way to have droids wander around player cities like they do in non-player cities

Probably not 
I think that the devs have stated that there will not be NPC's in the player cities for several reasons - lag, server load, getting in the way of dropping buildings, etc.
Too bad we can't make the chasis for the mayor to drop like he can drop the trainers... that would be cool
