What's the difference between reconstruction and repair kits?

I've read in this forum that reconstruction is for DE's only. So is a repair kit for non-DE's to repair their own droid, without having to find another person with a droid with a repair module.

If so, are repair modules now obsolete?

Repair kits will heal droid damage, reconstruction kits will heal wounds (and are DE only). Repair modules are still useful for non-DE's to heal wounds.

Sorry, but that answer as written is still confusing....

Simply, can Droid Repair Kits be used by non-DE's at all? (we know Re-const kits cant)

Comparing to how Medics and Doctors work, the Droid Repair Kits will heal the "white" bar damage during combat while the Droid Reconstruction Kits will heal the "black" bar wound damage. Only a Droid Engineer can use the Reconstruction Kits. Anyone can use the Repair Kits. The Repair Kits greatly improve your droids performance in combat situations.

Droid Repair Kits - Everyone

Droid Reconstruction - DEs

I don't see why anyone would use the reconstruction kits. All they need is a friend with a droid that has a repair module built in. And anyone who owns a droid with repair module built in can repair other droids.

Tip: Carry a power droid installed with a repair module. When your droid needs healing, transfer power droid to friend, ask him to repair your droid, and transfer back. With 15 second wait outside cities, it's even easier than before.
