hello,

now, i guess id like to start off by saying that at first i was a little disappointed in the droid invasion. i was really hoping that you guys would be able to make droids that actually do things, well, droidlike.

like medical droids that healed people (luke was healed by a medical droid). r2d2 type droids that scanned things (there are several creatures approaching from the south east), repaired things, or sliced things. power droids that could power harvesters. harvester droids that could harvest things. or protocol droids that could take messages for people, sort of like an email answering service or something.

but, one of my friends was telling me that the new changes so far arent sooo bad. he was talking about r3's with buzz saws and lightning projecters. is this true? what other types of weapons are there?

also, he said droids can talk now? what kind of personalities work?

Only very few DEs will charge 250k for a new probot. From what I have seen a normal price for a probot with five good combat modules and level 6 armour is between 30k and 75k, depending on the server and DE.

yeah, an another thing...

I was told by a DE that they can't make battle droids. I thought that was the whole reason for the "Droid Invasion". And then another DE said that what the droid invasion boils down to is that they could add better combat components to a droid and the proceeded to tell me that they were charging 250K for such a droid!!!

DANG!!! I'm a Master Architect and Master Artisan. I've not come close to that fee for anything I make, even guild halls!!!

I can spend less money grinding for DE myself and make my own. Heck, I've already got all the resources

Well, I've gotone word to describe that DE who charged you 250K. LOSER.

I charge 75k for my very best combat droid (max everything). I have yet to find someone charging more than that though, lol.

I encourage you to grind DE bud. Then you can make your own 45FR crafting stations. I'm MA, MDE and Novice Architect, and I can already make 41.8FR crafting stations. Couple that with being able to sell mobile crafting stations (aka Droids with crafting modules) and you could start making some nice dosh.

Wait, let me get this straight? You charge less than 250k for a PA hall? That's rare. You would have many architects yelling at you for that one where I come from.

Even if you did grind your way up DE, the resource cost was somewhere around 500,000 units of steel and about 200,000 units of fiberplast last I checked. So even if you did harvest the materials yourself, it would cost you 700,000 * 0.6 = 420,000 cr (since you probably will harvest the materials yourself).

I'm not defending the guy, I'm just stating a perspective.

ok, on to the new stuff...

Droid Repair kits

Increased damage on existing combat droids

Increased HAM on existing droids

Armor removed

Experimentation matters in the building of the droid (concerns HAM and combat rating).

So you're wondering what caused the price increase on combat droids? Well, it's not just being the flavor of the month. The cost to make one skyrocketed. A droid that took 9 sub components now takes around 20. If you don't think this is so bad, it's a little worse than doing a factory run of Heavy Mineral Mining Instalations.
