1.) Hi guys, I am reading how alot of you are geting very high stats on your droid HAM. What kind of stat balance in your resources are you looking for and using. For Example the final step in creating an r3 lists

****Experimental Durability***

--decay rate--

Overal Quality=33%

Shock Resistance=33%

Unit Toughness=33%

***Experimental Effectiveness***

--capability level--

Overall Quality = 100%

***Experimental Quality***

--mechanism quality--

Overall Quality=33%

Shock Resistance=33%

Unit Toughness=33%

I am thinking i should find a material with the best overll quality i can and expirament on the Effectiveness stats. My sole goal is to get the best HAM I can...

2.) Also, does the rating on the armor 6 module matter, and do you have to stack level 6 modules to get 40% armor?? I have been able to produce armor with and "Armor Module Rating 12, Mechanism Quality 8", would I have to stack this to hit 40%???

Your answers will be very appreciated

1) To max the HAM on my droids I'm using some 1000oq fiberplast, and then experimenting on 'Effectiveness' (just like you said ). With the 10 experiment points Master DE's get, you just have enough to max it

2) The rating on the Droid Armor Modules does not matter. I believe that one Level 6 module will give you the max armor (which is meant to be 20% now, but there's a bug that makes all armor 40%), or 2 Level 4's will do the same thing. I'm not completely sure on all this, as I use 2 Level 6's on mine anyway but from what I've heard from lots of other DE's, that's how it works at the moment.

CM's spot on!

For MAX HAM you need the best OQ chemical you can lay your hands on (I use 999). Then experiment on the MIDDLE line, effectiveness.

Everybody seems to use Lvl6 armour but it really isn't worth the hassle, any droid that can take 2 'defensive' modules can take 2 lvl 4's which give you the MAX armour available.

Yup. Seems like Chem, and Eff, are it for HAM

I think, a 12 rating hits the max armor cap. Maby less. In any case Im more confidant that one lev 6 armor can max the armor. As can 2 lev 4s.

I, am still in a quandry just what to do. I dont know if a droid remembers anything but its capped Resistance level. But if it remembers the Armor mods themselves, then 2 lev 6 mods will be better for if they raise the cap.

I guess I'll go with minimal stuff to max stuff. And try to save enough good chem for if they raise the cap.

I'm also using the 999 OQ Fiberplast and have gotten the maximum of 1691 HAM on an R3 Droid, 1089 on a Combat Droid and I forget now what the LE Droid came out to, but it was in the 2200 range. After using it once myself and seeing that a) it couldn't keep up with me on a simple run and b) didn't fight very well although lasted a long time in melee battle I destroyed it (the LE Droid) but have 4 on my vendor.

One thing I have noticed about mixing in some other modules is that the HAM doesn't go down if you use a medical, storage or even crafting module. The only thing that drops is the Combat Rating, and therefore the Damage done. If your customers are willing to suffer the slight losses there (it seems to be a loss of about 15 on each side of the damage-done) they will still be able to get a 110-medical rating, 10-item storage and even a food/chem (or other) crafting station in an R3 Droid with around 80-90 Damage done AND keep the 1691 (or whatever) HAM.

That makes for another way to satisfy some of the old customers with a fewutility modulesand still give them a "tank" to guard them and to tank for them if they do get into battle, the droid taking the aggro from the MOB while the owner can stand back and deliver his/her damage unharmed.
