Thread: DE tool Kit just another SOE tease to DE's?
Guess I'll start searchin for an old one on Radiant again lol
At least this proves where i knew the Devs heads were anyway lol
A VERY DARK SPOT
Old ones DONT WORK
Dont be like me, spend 2 mil on something thats broke and never get a REFUND, or it replaced from SoE

The people that made the DE tool kits were able samples of the original droid repair kits that were in the game months ago. Some people, for god knows what reason, kept them around and it turns out that they had a use after all

Not saying any of the above information is incorrect, but a combination of all of it is, TK verified this for me the other day. Sorry TK if I am jumping the gun here.
I am a pack rat, so on Tarquinas server I kept an original Droid Tool Kit, yes the one that could once be crafted by Artisans, which never worked and was later removed from the game. It does not work in the schematic, the message the tailor received was something to the effect of "this item is too damaged to use in this schematic", the tool has obviously never been used, nor has it ever decayed, it was made prior to this incarnation of the decay system.
TK got one that worked in his schematic, so some work, some don't, sorry apparently that is just the way it is.
But, I have a solution, if the devs could just make up a quick replacement droid tool thingie, that will work, on all servers, and put in the patch notes instructions to do a "turnin", your old non-working one, for the new working one. It would get the old items out of the game, appease all of us that worked hard at either acquiring the old item and other components to make the reward, and show us that we were being heard. Umm, SOE you've done this exact same type of "turn-in" before, ever hear of EQ, I bet you have /smirk
Now, here's the hope, here's a possible fix, albeit it is for a VERY small player base of DE's that have all the components to make this DroidSmiths Tool Kit. But hey, after this got fixed, and a permanent lootable or craftable replacement component was placed into the game, they'd never get to hear us whine about this one again.
