Every time I find a good Steel source it seems torun out in 1-2 days, I am trying to grind my way up DE but this is kinda hard cos every time I get about 20k Steel it runs out and when you need 400k Steel 20 k is nothing, so could anyone tell me where to find a nice Steel resource 70%+on Tempest, that is quite new and will hopefully last a week or so. I tried I think it was SWGCraft.com but they do not actually say where the resource is or its %

We're all in the same position when it comes to finding a good concentration of a particular resource. Swgcraft does give a approximation of how long a resource spawned. If you make sure you get on ones that show they have only just spawned then you'll be fine.
If you are tired of surveying looking for steel and fiberplast, are you sure you want to be a DE? We need a every single resource out there except for Class 4 Liquid Petro (/sarcasm) so you'll be surveying more than most other profs.
If you do really need waypoints to concentrations and can't be bothered to do it yourself. I'd suggest contracting or paying people to do this for you.

I've gotten into the habit of stepping out my front door and opening my mineral survey tool when I login every day. I run down the list of resources available and check for the new stuff. If I see something new that I need, I track it down and samble it right then to see if it's worth collecting (vs. my desperation for the given resource, sometimes you justhave to collect crap). Once you've been harvesting for a while, you get a feel for when something is about to go bye bye. Usually if a second version of the same resource appears, the first one is getting ready to go.

If all you're doing is grinding your way up the tree.. and yer not interesting in selling what you build, then any steel will do.
