Thread: Vote for Light armour! Help out BE's!
I've made a statement in the past that the effective usefulness of these droids for a newbie runs into a few days.
After about 2 weeks a new player has advanced to MOB's that a CL10 cannot handle, therefore we do not see CL10 Droids or CL10 non-BE creatures in use.
I would hearby like to initiate a vote for 'light' armour to be added back into a probot as a compromise (we can't have medium with the 40% res because coupled with heal packs those droids would be able to tank huge level MOBS).
Secondly I would like the BE CL 10 pets to remain un-NERF'ed.
If we get Med armour players should also have a choice between our Droids and Their pets.
So Please vote:
/vote Droid Light
/Vote Pet Stay
yes bring back light armor.
there was light and medium armor ratings before patch 7. Sony at least bring back light armor!
Iam on this vote big time
I'll agreewith this, for all the good (zero) it's likely to do.
It still doesn't make sense to me how Duralloy steel, Link Steel, and a friggin' ARMOR SEGMENT can't combine to at least light armor rating anymore. I do like the two modules for 40% though. It would give a reason for those two slots.

Thats my point, it's so quick to level in this game BE pets are not overpowered neither is a droid with light armour, it's just the dev's have set the bar too low.
Our target market is someone who has been playing the game for less than 2 weeks...when they are tanking meatlumps...but a few days later they start to be able to afford good armour and guns, and they've got a few notches on a combat tree.
And about this time they can actually afford to buy a droid at the price we sell them, but it's too late...the MOB's they are taking on cut through our 'comabt' droids like butter.

That is THE best summation of the DE plight I've ever read.

Example of a BE pet made in the last 2 days - 10k Health / 5.5k Action / 4.2k Mind, Kinetic Resist 60%, Blast 49%, Heat 5%, Vulnerability to all else.
So I would have to completely disagree with your assertion that someBE pets are not overpowered.

Yea plenty of people have said light armor makes a lotta sense. If it isn't gonna happen the resource requirements on the armor modules should be relaxed.
If they continue with AR0, the resources should be fish meat and oats.
so CL10 is not needed at all ina combat situation... the only good use for droids now is to protect crafters that are pure crafters and get killed by butterflies.....
we need more then light armor we need heavy and medium.. we use metal.. not flesh.... last i checked you can shoot through someones face easier then you can through 2 layers of steel... adn uhm.. why would you make a combat droid out of the most vulnerable type of metal if the full intent was combat..
the way they are now.. they sould add module space for utility... R2 wasnt a fighter but he can attack and be useful at the same time... why have all those utility ports ona droid if its filed with empty space...
