What exactly does a repair droid do?

Does it repair the damage to HAM bars on other droids? Does it do this on its own? Or do I need to be a DE to get it to work?

Will it only work on droids that are payer made? (Im thinking... would it repair an ATST? or a stormtrooper? or something like that?)

Found some of my own answer in the FAQ:

Droid Repair Module
This module allows your droid to repair the health and action wounds (Black Bar) of another droid. Train your droid the "Repair Other Droid" command to utilize this feature. (Note: There is currently no way to "program" the "repair other droid" command on the "converse" style droids.)

Can someone confirm for me that this is still the case? Thanks

Yes, that is what the droid module does. The repair module can be put in any droid, as can all modules. Yes, it's true that you cannot reprogram the repair command on converse style/type droids, but,it does work in them. However, if it is put in an actual LE Repair Droid it becomes broken....making the LE Repair Droid the only droid that can't actually repair other droids. This, I believe, is something called "irony".

Oh almost forgot.... some people have also stated that a repair mod will not work in a power droid either....but thenothers say it does, so I'm unsure which is correct at the moment.

Anyways, as you may have surmised by now, no it cannot heal things such as ATSTs and the like.

Hmmm, let me clarify a little bit further. It will not repair these things because it has to be an actual droid. An ATST, despite what others would have you think,is not a droid.Stormtroopers, and such,aren'teither.

So if I get damage to my single probot, I need either a second droid with repair or another person's droid to repair it?

you need another person with a repairing droid to repair it seeing as you can have only one droid out at a time.

Considering this all makes one wonder how the way too low limit on droids was so obviously ignored while developing this game.
