I was wondering.. Is it only merchants that can show their vendors waypoints on the world map? If this is not the case then how can I get my vendor to show on the world map. New Master droid engineer here and I'd like to get a little business going.

Not only do you need to be a merchant to show your vendor on the world map, you need to have the Advertising III skill.

OK, thanks! Sigh.... just not enough skill points. Oh well, I guess I'll have to sit in town and spam my house coords.......

Use a droid to spam:

Set some patrol points in town i.e. near the cantina, hospital, bank, shuttle port ect, where the mass of people go and have it spam for a while.

I've read about this in another post and have not tried yet myself. So it may not work. I would think it would be worth a try unless you know that it doesn't work.

This skill works so poorly I wouldn't worry about not having it. My shop disappears from the world map everyday and I have to re-add it. I do have to say though that I have way more sales when it is registered. Even so I am dropping these skills soon to get the skill points back.

I must say, it's pretty useful to have your shop on the map, even if you're not a master yet. A vendor listed with the name "Bounty Hunter Droids" gets quite some attention.

Although, the skill points are getting rare now, not sure what to do yet.
