I read all this jive about a new droid handler profession. It's a load of bantha poodoo in my opinion.

Why not implement an easy solution.

Player A is a novice player : He can only control one CL10 combat droid

Player B has is master in one starter profession: Hey, CL 15 max

Player C has mastered an elite profession: Hmm the best droid is available now.

Easy to implement, newbies won't run around with droideka's, and the line "Anyone can use droids." is still valid.

They could tweak the CL to find a good balance, and no problems in sight.
