Thread: Made Master DE a few weeks ago Are DE's going to be Improved? Anyone know?
Just wondering -
Since i made Master De, I would really like to use my droids as protection while i go out to my Harvesters - i would like to also make a living in game and stop doing those missions -
so ... does anyone know if the DE profession is being improved? anyone know of any plans being made at all? is anyone out there anywhere ?

Yes they will be .. will it be anytime soon? No. Maybe by Christmas. Note: Thats not an official time frame but from what I understand based on work loads, etc ... it wont be any sooner, although we will be getting things here and there.

Ok, so what are the "things" here and there that you are talking about. I am nearing master, but have been feed up with this profession for a month now. I love droids. Don't get me wrong. I really love hearing the happiness in the voices (bubbles) of the customers who are so excited to get them, especially when they are custom made, and I throw something extra in the mix. However, I only have very few customers, and the constant grinding is driving me nuts. If it was worth it, some goal that i was striving to achieve, like "useful droids" then it would be another story all together.
What i am trying to say is, I have tracked this board for a long time, and all I ever see is we put forth what is wrong, what is bugged, what is needed, and we don't get much in return at all. Granted the permadeath is gone, big deal, it should not have been put there in the beggining. And the probot should only have been reduced some, not into the dirt along with the gubur's. Also the lack on anything specific from the dev's or Sintrosi points to the fact that we don't stand a snowball's chance in hell of getting any REAL improvements until 2004, if at all then.
Sintrosi, I have a great respect for you, and what you are trying to accomplish here. I am not flaming, nor dis-respecting you in any way. Keep up the good work and maybe one day these guys will have something worth grinding to. As for me, unless I see something VERY soon, I am going elsewhere and rebuild my character.

Ok - your doing something wrong. let me try to help you. Note: I havent ran a mission in a very long time. and i'm not even close to master droid engineer yet: (novice droid engineer: 1,1,1,3)
1) sell extra power and extra resources on the bazaar. Never less value than 3000cr per 1000 units. It breaks down like this:
a) power -> 1000 cr per 1000 units
b) common resources -> 1500 cr per 1000 units
c) less common resources -> 3000 cr per 1000 units
Following that logic will keep you in cr for running your operation.
2) make a macro either advertising the location of your shop (if you have one) or the droids you are selling (some suggestions below) or both:
a) bounty hunter seeker droids ... these sell quite well -> 1700 cr per droid with 10 charges.
b) Arakyd seeker droids (bounty hunter) ... these also sell pretty well -> 3000 cr per droid with 5 charges.
c) R5 crafting unit droids (no need to make a more complex droid than R5 unit ... unless customer wants)
d) probots probots probots.
e) surgical droids. (or medical capable R5 units)
as for the macro - just make a macro /shouting the above as available droids, and your shop location. add this to the bottom of the macro: /ui action toolbarSlot00 <- change the 00 to the number of the slot that your macro is in.
That should get you on the path to no more missions.
