Thread: Ahazi Droid Engineers Union
I'm currently putting together a list of all the DEs on the Ahazi server, so that we can have a comprehensive list of all the current acting Droid Engineers there. There is no membership or guildness at this time, just looking to form up a list so that we can better cooperate and communicate within our rarified profession. There's only a few of us (as far as I can tell) so this shouldn't be a monumental task.
And if enough DEs actually respond, we could even look into setting up standardized minimum pricing so that therewould be little undercutting of each other's prices and/or territories.
So, if you would be so kind, just send an in-game email to "Woodrow" and I'll add you to the list. Already I've been able to use the list to better direct the new novices on corellia towards those that can train and assist them the best, as well as trading off customers with other known DEs when I wasn't able to perform the tasks they requested. So once again, send an email to "Woodrow" ingame, and feel free to post your thoughts here on this thread.
I dont like price guide.
BTW, posting this message in Ahazi Forum should get more attention from other Ahazi DE.
My in game name is Pima. I agree with torr on no set prices, some may decide to undercut R2's and raise Probots, etc. Some price combines, some use only resources, no one should be told what a minimum price should be. What if someone is trying to dump old stock?
Anyway I live in the kaadara naboo area and I have seen a few other DEs in that area. I supply higher level modules to another novice even. I even refer people to Bravesir's Droids down the way, especially if I'm out of seeker stock (I have an item on the vendor saying if I'm out go here).
btw Torr, are those really your seeker and probe prices?!? 100cr per seeker is less than 1 credit per unit. now if you mean 100 per charge I can understand that, that's what I charge. I think I talked to you about prices though before.
I'm not saying they would be mandated minimums. Even the concept of minimum pricing was only a suggestion that we as as droid engineering whole could talk about on the server. This post is mainly to help in building a database for Ahazi Droid Engineers. Already have a few responses, but I am imagining there are more out there. You just mentioned some of the benefits (refering for training, defering customers, etc), which is what I would really hope to set this list up for.So, anyone else that is out there, please drop a line to Woodrow in-game.
If I remember when I get home from work I will. I have no problem at all with anything. I realized that was a suggestion but just had to throw my 2creds in. Many stores I go into to compare prices and meet the engineer themself I always try to set something up. I've always tipped when getting training, I've payed full price for over half of my training though.
I went to one shop to compare prices, didnt' get the name of the DE, but on his bounty hunter droid vendor he had DZ70 droids, I feel really bad that they think that is a bounty hunter droid. the shop was near moenia if anyone knows who that was.
I only make crates of MA components, so wouldn't swap those one, but would love to get some kind of module swap going on for usage experience.
Here was my list that I posted on Ahazi a few weeks back, enjoy:

And if the minimum prices is just a guideline then I'm all for that.
