Alright. It's now 1 week before the official InterServer Droid Engineer Association meeting. The day is Sunday, 18 January. The time is 8 p.m. EST / 5 p.m. PST. The place is server Ahazi, of which we will meet in Vreni Island, Corellia. For those of you who do not have a character on Ahazi, create a temporary one and make your way there via whatever means necessary. There'll be BLLs directing you to the final open pavillion. We're expecting between 50 and 100 people easy, and we want to see EVERYONE there. This meeting is the only one we'll have before the patches come out, so if we want to stand together, make decisions, and gather a consensus on opinions, this will be the only live venue in which to do it.

I have some bad news in that due to various reasons there will not be a Q and A session during the main part of this presentation. Reasons will be discussed at the end of the meeting (and possibly host one then).

The agenda for the meeting is as follows:

1) Introductions. Brief introductions outlining the new DEA admins and their respective servers, as well as our new Droid Correspondent.

2) Open Speech slot. If he is cleared to say more, and is willing, we'll probably hear Drashk talk during this time.

3) Speech by myself. Intending to give a brief discussion on the topic of theuse of the Droid Engineer Association/DEnet throughout the course of the new updates, and the new roles it will take on. Also, There will also be a quick discussion concerning the unity of the profession

4) Opinion Poll. Will be conducting a poll for the purposes of best getting the opinion of the general public.

5) Open Slot.

6) Closing speeches.

We'll updates the agenda as we make things more permanant. Feel free to post any questions/comments/concerns here. Also, if you're interested in speaking publicly, then contact me or post on here and we'll see about adding you in.

We're also working to provide some additional show, but nothing is definate yet. However, We want EVERYONE to be there. No guild meetings, no hologrinding, nada. Come on in everyone, the show should be big.

Thighs.

Oh....uuhhh...what was I saying? Oh yea...

Keep in mind, for those that cannot attend, I will be logging the meeting and posting the complete chatlog ASAP after the meeting is over. You can also find the full chatlog of the previous 2 inter-server DEA meetings via the stickies at the top (thanks Drashk!).

This is likely going to be the single most important inter-server DEA meeting to date.

I'd like to emplore those DEs (and DEA members) that are not on Ahazi to gather your server's profession members to this gathering.

Hugs,

Best as I'm aware, this would be Drashk. He's a TC 'all-over-it' kinda guy.

I don't think they've pushed anything to TC yet.

I think the meeting need to be livened up a bit.... Here's what I'm going to do.

- - - - -

I shall makea character and call him "Talkinghead". I will appear at the meeting and field people's questions. I will make witty, useful responses like "wait, we can't just hotfix you guys..." or "how about them clear headed R2's?..." or "I have my finger on the pulse of the DE community... you guys NEED exploding MSE droids!" or what about this beauty, "Before I can do anything, I need more info... start another post explaining your needs please..."

Then. Everyone can take turns deathblowing me.

That ought to be good... a little venting never hurt anyone.

The people you are quoting here might not like it a whole lot if you do this, especially if they decide to show up. It mightbe more fun that watching Jenden and Sodantry to prove something to each other again though.

Drashk,

Actually...it might be kind of fun watching TH lay some Dev-style 'smack down' on Virtanis. I don't think Virtanis would know what to do with that fun little "Teleport" feature that the Devs get.

Besides...I hear tell of a "Carbonite gun" that's supposed to do some pretty interesting things.

I say...have TH show up and embarrass him in front of his peers. That ought to teach him.

Let us not forget the DEV power to increase the ablities of objects either. Could you imagine the embarrassment of getting owned by a DZ-70?

Better yet...

Getting owned by a CDEF pistol.

I don't think it would ever even get that far. TH could just use the "Dev Clone-Touch" special. Insto-death for anyone that talks smack. Oh the fun!!

I would respond to this point, but it's probably best that I don't.... at least, not for a week or so.
