Thread: Newb DE Question

I'm a new DE and started crafting my first droids tonight. I made an item storeage module and put it in an MSE. When I opened the storage compartment, it would only hold one item. I thought they were supposed to hold 10. I made another one and experimented on it...and got great successes, with the same results. Did I do something wrong?

Also, is the "power low" message only for talking droids, or are there special beeps for MSEs?

Thanks

A Level 1 Item Storage module can only hold 1 item. Yeah, it's pretty silly.

10 is the maximum capacity of any droid regardless of how many item storage modules you put in it. 10 is also the rating of a Level 6 Item Storage modules, which you get at Master DE and for which you will need Lidium Extrusive Ore which is exceedingly rare.

Sorry, missed the low power question...

*Low Power* is a message that any droid will generate when its battery has run down. Droids exhibiting *Low Power* will not respond to commands (other than Store) and their modules stop functioning. They will, however, continue to perform the last command they were given and will keep doing so until you log out. So if you want to set up a droid on an advertising patrol route, it will keep marching in circles until you log off long after its battery has run out.

Thanks! One item is pretty ridiculous. Great Idea on the advertising, though.

Hi Iygow,

I just made it to DE myself Saturday and wondered incredulously at how useless, more or less, the basic MSE is.

So, while grinding I came up with some ideas on what to do with them. So far, there's four, but one has already been ruled out due to game constraints....

MSE Skeet Shoot (See my post, I want my MSE)

Droid Olympics (No idea, but it sounds nice)

Pik-a-Droid. One item slot? Put prizes in them and charge people for the opportunity to pick one. (Needs several people to pull off).

Droid Treasure Hunt. (Sort of like Pik-a-Droid, but on a planetary scale and some with clues and others with waypoints). This won't work because that I know of droids aren't globally accessible.

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated! After all I have to make something like 300 of them before I can make WED Treadwells and advanced MSEs. Hope those are more useful.

Great ideas! Here's another idea:

I realize that some touting your wares is neccessary, but some people spam thier sales pitch at the starports WAY too much. Name your MSE IFollowSpammers and have it follow the offending party indefinately.

Oh, now that IS mean!

And if I understand it correctly, once commanded to stalk the droid will keep it up until either you or the other person logs off or takes a shuttle.

I'd just worry about whether my definition of "too much" spamming would justfiy such abuse.
