Thread: Why 4 Crafting Stations on 1 Droid?

I've been doing research on pricing since I've recently become a MDE and I've seen a lot of people selling/advertising Droids with 4 crafting stations on them. My question is, who would need one of these? No one person can have 4 different master crafting professions. And I don't usually see people going to other players and saying "Hey man do you have an uber crafting droid you could bring out?" rather than just going to a stationary crafting station.

Do people actually buy these, and why?

Because it's the one and only crafting/service droid a player might ever need.

I sell them for 100k (and have no problem selling them to those who follow the paths of the Holocron).

They buy one droid that carries them through all crafting professions.

That's why they buy them.

A Master Artisan can use all 4 crafting stations throw in some medic skills and that player using the droid doesn't have to leave the Cantina for anything and can be handing out food, drink, basic weapons and armor just to name a few. I personally have done this. Had some fun playing bar keep for about an hour.

An R3 unit with all four crafting stations, data storage and item storage is a pretty handy unit, IMO. It could be considered a general-purpose factory service droid, usable by any and all professions.

Taking a well-deserved vacation from his successful Droid Engineering business, Master Rho can be found puttering around the galaxy.

Dont forget the demand of the want-to-be Jedi power grinder out there. They just buy one droid and then they have all they need for any crafting profession. Then they can grind through any profession they want.

Artisan has plenty of items in all crafts that could use a station. Even if not for the extra complexity, for the experimentation.
