scroll down a bit and you see this

"The Droid Invasion would have two primary stages. The first stage was to add combat functionality to the existing set of droids. This would create the underlying foundation for all future combat droid functionality. The second stage would be to put as many combat droids out while making the most out of the available development time."

2 stages people. You can relax just a bit.We are only stage 1 and stage 2 looks good

Anyone else remember being that hopeful? I know ya mean well dood but they have been saying the same thing to DE's since launch, LAUNCH. This Publish was a nerf first , anda hotfix at best for DE's. Although, the DE community is so ticked off about this armor thing I wouldn't be surprised to see that de-nerfed in the next day or so.

Sorry if this sounds like trolling, but in the patch notes supplied by TH in said post (http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Developers&message.id=24997) did not mention new chassis or combat functionalities( aside from exploding). I did however like the showcase-ability of droid deeds(I like making show room droids).

Naw, ya ain't trollin man and it's not a sin anyway. I think ppl really expected at least a lil' bit of love for DE in this patch. It was called "The Droid Invasion" after all.Plus it was promised in January. These poor DE's log in and find out they are worse off than they were yesterday. I can count the positive posts I've seen today on 1 hand. This was a CHpatch plain and simple. They are the ones that will benefit the most from this. The ability to call pets anywhere is the main feature that ppl are talking about.

Well I am severely dissapointed in what this patch did to the probot.

Its was never too powerful and it didn't have much stats but that was OK because with medium armor it could slowly pick away at mobs while taking a beating. Now its a useless piece of junk.

I used to be able to have it solo a particular mob and it could do 3 before I had to store it. Now it couldn't even solo 1. Plus that wasn't even a particularly strong mob to start with as it was only lvl 16. The doubled the battery life which is great if we only had a droid that could last that long. It was never over powered and this nerf to it has made a modestly useful droid into worthless junk.

methinks you need to read the rest of the post. that was one of the options (the one which everyone shot down do to the droid commander profession). The other was what we are getting, the new utility modules. I'm more in favor of new utility modules anyway...

I do like the idea of new utility modules, just something more useful, there are lots of great ideas here on the DE board for new utility modules, but haveing just 1 new droid schematic would reall really make my day.
