Yeah so I wanted to know if the quality of the droid brain reflected on the final cluster and/or combat modules. Here's what I did:

1st test set used good brains.

Ingredients: Droid Brain x3 (93%, 13 mechanism quality) Copper 980/916, Siliclastic Ore 989, Inert Gas 968, Fiberplast 957.

Results:

  • Combat modules:two103combat rating, one 104, 26 mechanism quality for all

  • Combat cluster: 311 combat rating, 109 mechanism quality

2nd test set used unexperimented -6 mechanism quality droid brains for all steps that require a droid brain

Ingredients:Droid brain x3 (unexperimented, -6 mechanism quality) Ingredients were of grinding quality (<500)

Results:

  • Combat modules: two 103 dombat rating, one 104, 7 mechanism quality for all

  • Combat cluster: 311 combat rating, 30 mechanism quality.

So, it looks like the results are that all those droid brains we need to make can be junk so long as we use good materials for the modules and cluster. I'll be installing Set 1 and Set 2 into a R3 and Probot to see what happens. I'll let you know asap.

had similar results, brain rating appears to have no effect whatsoever.

May I politely suggest you read the whole post before making assenine comments? If you had, it would have been obvious that I already addressed this. Do yourself a favor and edit-delete your post.

Oh and for clusters, the effectiveness also does not effect anything but the mechanism quality. Combat rating is set b/c of the modules and is only effected during their crafting process, not the clusters.

Well it might not matter but I know one thing... the brains are consumed at a very high rate...

Effectivenessexperimentationdefinitely does govern HAM rating. so what the hell does quality do?

I'm running another experiment all the way through for combat R3. One set will have experimentation and good resources only ONLY the combat module. The next set will have experimentation and good resources on everything that goes into the final deed.

yay 666 posts.

Anyways, I did another run of the crappy brain so I could have a 100% crappy brain droid for the best results. It was -1 point for combat rating and mech quality, reaffirming pervious conclusions.

If someone could test direct resource quality while making the final droid deed, or perhaps revive a buried post that already discussed it, that'd be great mkay and we'll need you to come in sunday to thanks peter

It does have an affect, the mechanism quality value.

What we don't know is if that is any kind of factor in the combat abilities of the final droid.

I know the past has shown that this doesn't do anything, but we should test this properly with the new crafting rules before throwing it out completely.
