Thread: Yet another Combat Droid Idea

Sorry if anyone has thought of this before... I have not seen this idea yet.
What if combat droids...and I mean the higher level ones, are faction items? This is what would happen. With items from Weapon and Armorsmiths a Droid Engineer would construct the big droids... the ones everyone is asking for.
THEN... you spend x amount of faction points and you get a control device. You take this control device and drag and drop it on to the Droid Deed and boom... you get your droid that dies just like the AT-ST after 1 death.
Who would get these droids? Either side... The Empire has them because they are the current law of the land and whatever they decide is ok is...well ok.. The rebels dont even need an explanation.
This would keep an ongoing market for Droid Engineers... with items that are as powerful as an AT-ST and the Rebels finally get some heavy power as a faction perk.
Also depending on the amount of points you spend is the quality of the control device... starting with the lower ones and moving up to Super Battle Droid.
Also... you cannot activate the deed and add it to your datapad UNTIL you merge it with the control device.
Just an idea... please feel free shoot it full of holes.

Great idea IMHO .. this idea could satisfy all parts of the universe.
