I think Architect theoretical maximum was +45 ish, before they nerfed the droid storage compartments (which contributed up to +5 if I remember right..might not be so)

As to the crux of your question, the honest answer is nobody really knows for sure what equivalent rating a DE craft station has, but its been speculated to be around +35 I think.

For myself, my droid craft station and I are good friends, and I use it almost all the time. I was given a +42.1 station recently, and I cant really say I see any tangible difference at all...but thats just my personal experience. The architect station is really a decoration for the 'workshop' for me.

I think that could be another thing to add. That the crafting stations become comparable.
