Thread: We've done it before, we'll do it again, top 5 issues!

1. Repeat sales issue. We need some form of repeat sales. More so that just batteries or droid customization kits. Be this droid decay to generate new sales or something totally different.


2. All droid chassis need to have a special function. Such as the Power droids ablity to power others or the MSE's +10 Detonation bonus. If a droid chassis has no special function, it's really just a skin for a stack of modules.


3. Different types of chassis. More variety would be great.


4. Fix the naming bug on droids with personality chips.


5. Restructure the schematics list so that it is more organized and makes more sense.

Nothing super problematic currently...but #1.



  1. Decay

  2. Droid Naming change

  3. Increase storage capability (for Adv. BLL only - when using L6 Storage)

  4. Droid Personalities - better features for 'AI' and immersiveness

  5. Unprogrammed Droid Command Modules - sales on these were great for awhile, not they are flatlined (read: dead)

1: Need, we have very few necessary or highly desired droid functions or modules. More modules/functions/models that are so useful they are considered a must (like the medical mod or the storage).


2: Combat droids and enhancements, not necessarily a DH asap but some more combat enhancement effects making droids more like powerup'ish.

5: reduce the subcomponent count, its disgusting how many we need to use to make even a simple droid, the closest profession to ours for subcomps is archy with craftstions and AS with layering....and we have to do it with all our droids...(a adv mse with storage 10 and medical 110, has in it 12 subcomps!!!).

#1----Droid decay

#2----Incorporation of existing chasis with modular bonus (i.e. like det mods w/ MSE droids)

#3----Droid naming

#4----DE looted schematics or droid parts, or even a new droid chasis!!!

#5----Fix misc DE bugs like BLL chasis coloring, lowering custom paint jobs down from 2k, maintenance modules, etc....

  4. Make Structure Maintenance Modules more desireable ( post maintenance change ).

  5. Unprogrammed Droid Command Modules/Data storage modules- Give these a more widespread use (profession specific programs?)

All of these are excellent ideas, so I won't continue to name the same ones but mention a few others:


(1)Ease the resource restrictions on repair kits. Even "weak" droids might seem more valuable if they could be repaired rather than simply breaking. But because of the difficulty getting these resources, there are no repair kits.


(2)The overall fire-power of our combat droids needs to be more in-line with creature pets. I care less about the decay issue than this one. If I get fantastic resources, I still can't sell a very powerful droid, and that's with 990 OQ 1000 CD copper. The firepower I'm getting with these resources should actually be the "average" I achieve with "average" resources, and the firepower I actually get with this copper should be good enough to justify a price premium in-line with premium pets. The resources are rare enough, so why are my combat droids so weak?


(3) Tie automatic structure payment to the structure maintenance module.


(4) Allow stimpack dispensers to dispence all stimpacks, not just As.


(5) Introduce any and all manner of new modules (honestly, anything will help increase interest) but also consider a module that takes limited-use, replaceble modules that can be loaded by the owner but made and sold by us... for example, merchant barking modules for non-merchants, factory-type modules for crafters to run small runs in the field, ship repair modules for pilots, weapon and armor repair kits, extra battery slots, for more power... whatever, but limited use so we can get some repeat business and increase usability.

1) Decay system

2) Get rid of the asinine way of calculating things (e.g. level 6 module = 12 rating = ten item storage. The harvest rating, etc.) It really drags having to explain this to new customers.

3) Droids should be more valuable to players. (e.g. droids can facilitate [and dare I say are required] taking down bases)

4) Fix all the little bugs (naming bug)

5) Bring on more combat droids and the droid commander profession.

3. DE loot (schematics/uber parts)

Ok, given that the last time we took any kind of general issues poll was back in october, I'd like to get a feel for where people's priorities are. I know, not all that much has changed, but some old timers have left, some new people have joined, and some people's views have changed, so its a worthwhile activity. So please, give me your top 5 issues (no big long essays, just a simple, easy to read/categorize statement). And before anyone asks, this is on my own initiative, there is no hidden message that devs are about to do a big revamp or anything, I just want to get an idea of where everyone stands now.

Doing a bit of sticky rearrangement, adding a link to the old issues thread here and taking the old one down. In no way does that mean we're forgetting about the old one, just trying to keep down the crowding.
