I read a post from sometime last year about this. I have the toolkit bondolier whihc increases my stats Droid Crafting +5, Customization +5, Droid Exp +3, but I do not get any benefit. I presume this is because I am already master DE.
Does anyone use these?
I also saw screenies of a robe giving a +12 Droid Crafting bonus!

For every 10 points of extra experimentation (or assembly) you get 1 extra point when you to use when experimenting. As a master you get 10 points to experiment with. Add another 20 points with CAs, and you'll be a 12 point MDE. I hope that makes sense. So yes the bandolier does help, but more is needed.

cool thanks for that. makes perfect sense
sort of.
Now my next question. What else should I be looking for and who makes them? A master tailor I presume, but I want to know what I'm asking for before I pester one in-game.
I know the bandolier is a looted schematic is this the same for all these enhancing gadgets?

Yep, all the Skill enhancements are Loot Items. You can fit them in all Clothing that has empty Sockets left.
(Should be almost all player created Clothing, afaik loot clothing can not have Sockets)
For the Skill tapes you need to hunt them down yourself, either ingame or in your galaxies Trade board.
One advice: All Skills cap at 125, so you can only get 2 extra experimentation points.
Another Advice: Scrap the DE Toolbelt
You will need the place for a backpack, helps very much
And, if you have time take a look at the DE 101 FAQ, that helps a lot too ^^

Thanks for the advise Atan. I will keep the belt for now (only cost 20k
). I already have a backpack, but I can take it off to use the belt while making new schematics, which I dont do that often. Obviously that'll do me know good right now, but it will eventually. Those 2 exp points will give me the edge for ISD and repair kits. Also as I understant it, having better 'Droid Assemby' reduces the number of critical failures.
I'm sure e-v-e-r-ybody on here knows how horribly heart wrenching it is when you're all set to make the finished droid, after hand making most of the components for a one off, custom order and then ... *puff* all your hard work is gone. GRRRRRRRRR!!!

It's a looted schematic (I forget where). Tailors make it and DEs provide a reconstruction kit as an ingredient.

I didn't post any screenies of it, but I have a SpecOps Duster that has +12 Droid Experimentation. Unfortunately, there isn't much for droids that you need the extra points for. Most things have only 1 line that you bother to experiment on, and thats filled up easily by even the standard 10 you get at master. Only useful on stims really. Maybe in the future though
