Thread: On TC now Calling Droids/Pets from the tool bar

I've heard multiple reports, from TC, that the ability to call a Droid/Pet from the tool bar is now functioning, like it does for Vehicles and Faction Perks. This fix was not listed in the patch notes. We need to make sure that this function is not bugged, allowing someone to call more then one droid/pet at the same time, and that this function works 100% of the time.
Anyone that has the use of a Droid/Pet on TC or TC-Gorath, which should be up in the next day or so, please be sure to log on and test this new feature. This is the third time that this feature was supposed to be on TC to go Live. We need to make sure that the third time is the charm and this feature makes it to Live bug free, since it would be of major beneifit to Droid users everywhere.
As soon as I get my new computer system up and running, later tonight, I will be logging on to TC to help with some testing. If you need a droid for testing on TC, send me an Email and I will see what I can do.

Yes, I saw reports of this as well, and should be on TC tonight to check some things out.

A good fix, will make things much easier.
Should sell more Harvestors.

I'd imagine bomb droids might see a sales increase too since you could make a macro that just calls the droid, sends it to the target, and detonates after a couple seconds (or after you hit another button)

Actually people have been doing this already. They actually call Bomb Droids in combat. They just call the droid using Deeds, which you can do in combat and with a macro.

I know, just makes it easier since you don't need to open up the inventory or anything like that.

You didn't need to open the inventory before, you just put the deed on your toolbar. This will still be the prefered method, because you can call a deed in combat, but not a droid, so people won't actually turn the bomb droid into a droid until it's needed, because then it is limited.

Allow me to re-hash a couple things from testing last night:
- Droids/Pets are definitly being called by the 1st radial menu option (enabling toolbar use) just like vehicles do now.
- Harvesting rates are increased with both the use of the group and the harvesting droid, so there doesn't seem to be a problem there. However, it does seem like the rate at which the droid increases the # units harvested is larger post-group change. I REALLY would like some more help nailing this down since the majority of TC-Gorath is concerned with PvP and base take-downs.
- I'm absoulty terrible at finding server boundries. Attempting to call a new droid post-shuttle travel seems to store the droid first....then again, I've had that work for me on live on occasion too. Regular storing and calling does not cause droid duplication.
Side note completly unrelated: the new bases are huge! Think about the approximate size of the main building of the Abandoned Rebel base on Dantooine.

Hmmm, I believe they pulled the harvest change on TC for some changes before it ever went live... so not sure you're actually seeing the right numbers.
