then my guess, its just a default name bug.. so build one and put in an MSE droid, see if it stores something..

This is a known bug - Even though it says data module it is actually a storage module, and will work that way when put into a droid.

Oh, so the module is just misnamed? It's still an item storage module?

I ask because last night I got an order for two advanced R5 units equipped with data and storage modules. When making the first item storage module (level 2), I remembered the bug when it came out as a level 2 data data module. I explained the situtation to the customer with my apologies, and he has me make them instead with a food/chem and data storage in one, and WDG station and data storage in the other.

Not wanting to waste a "level 2 data module", I put that into one of the R5s. So, do I read this correctly, or does that R5 now have item storage?

So Launcelot, if you're wondering where the data storage on one of the R5s went, there may be your answer.

Yes...this is exactly what happens:

- Open the crafting tool and see this L2 item storage module.
- Double click to start crafting...put all the resources...at this point the window on the right still says item storage.
- Hitnext - at this point it says droid data storage, and the icon changes.
- After assembling, the actualy item comes out looking like a data module, and says data.
- Put the 'level 2 data storage' item in a mouse droid...once the droid comes out, it has 2 item storage.

Just tested this myself, so it works with storage.

So i just got intermediate droid production and had an order for a droid with a LVL 2 Item storage module. So to be breif, the problem is when i make the Item storage module, it comes out as a "data storage module" Now thinking that i just clicked on the wrong schematic, i try again. And have the same result. Now my question, is this really a Data Storage Module, or is it just misnamed.

This is an old bug, that apparently has not been ironed out yet.

so, it's just misnamed then, the module will still work as advertised?

What does it say in the windo storage compacity or data compacity? compare that with a lvl1 module..
