harvestor crafting is still bugg'd. they used to give 'architect' exp. now they don't..but they usually don't give any Gen. Craft exp either.

if you're a master artisan, starshine surprises are worth about 120 xp I think. travelpacks are good, as is anything in the tier 4 artisan schematics.

Bone Armor chest plates if you can afford to purchase the components from the bazaar. I burnt through about 40k credits getting past this stage. They are worth about 500 exps each though.

Once you get Novice DE, get used to making MSEs. You will make them until you get Blueprints II, then its on to Advanced Droid Frames. I am told thats all there is to grind on after this - I am still at this stage though so not sure.

It sure would be nice if we had something useful we could grind on though.

After blueprints II, advanced chassis for me. Although I hear armor is good too...

Got to 4-2-1-4 now. Just burned through 18k steel and about half that in fiber today. Expensive hobby this is.

I grinded on gas survey devices. They give a fair amount as far as getting up to eng 4 after that i set up harvesters and built with what i got from them. Id say bone armor but not everyone wants to go hunt and get bone.

The two best grind items in the artisan tree are (xp per resource):

Bone Armor Chest Plates (Engineering)
Travel Packs (Domestic Arts)

Once you hit novice DE, get ready to grind MSE droids. You'll be making them until you get advanced droid blueprints, where you will switch to advanced droid frame units. You will grind them for the rest of your career...

Note: Some people have offered that the best mechanism for getting up the DE tree is not necessarilly by starting with blueprints... Milage may vary =)
