Thread: Another way to look at things
There are some of us that are upset about how the new droids will not be any more powerful than the non-ch pets. And there are some of us that are upset about the pets that Bio-Engineers can make now that make the probot look like nothing more than an expensive toy. Here is my positive spin on things:
1) Before the patch, Bio-Engineers were just as useless or maybe even more useless than we were, with the exception of clothing enhancements which had been fixed in an earlier patch. Resources did not matter, DNA did not matter, nothing mattered, they could not match anything that a creature handler could find in the wild, and many of their creations were not usable and broken.
2) After the patch, Bio-Engineers, using quality resources, can make pets that are much better than what creature handlers can find in the wild, and manyif not all of their creations are now tamable. They are even making non-CH pets that have 7000 HAM and light armor, which upsets some people since some of us were expecting the probot to be a viable pet for people.
Here is the other way to look at the upcoming patch:
What if the developers did the same thing for us? Such as:
1) Resources actually determine the quality of the droid that is made.
2)Component quality actually counts for something.
3) If they are making 7000 HAM Armored CL10 pets, then I think it could be possible that we will get the droideka and other "cool" droids, though I don't think that they belong in the time period that SWG is in, but if the developers add them, I don't think many would complain. ![]()
Just another way to look at the upcoming changes.
-The devs will stomp it down to size as soon as they realize what they've done. I honestly don't think they are aware of it, and if they are they don't care right now because they have allready planned a down-grader for next BE-patch.
Am I wrong? Most likely not, but lets hope that I am.
